Nan Garden, Jian Xi lazily leaned on the sofa reading a book while Yu Ling occupied another sofa, also absorbed in reading. The servants tiptoed past the living room, afraid to disturb the mother and daughter-in-law.
The time was tranquil, and the years were beautiful.

Butler Li cast a doubtful look at him before going to seek Jian Xi's opinion, "Young Madam, a Mr. Edward claims he has come to pick you up as per arrangement."
