The next day, Su Yang was still groggy when she heard Ji Chengzhou speaking to her.
"I'm heading to the office. Starting fresh. I'll be pretty busy for a while. Go back to sleep."
She squinted her sleepy eyes open and saw the man in a full suit standing by the bed, tying his tie. She muttered a response and drifted back to sleep. The next time she woke up, it was the sound of knocking that pulled her from her rest.
She got out of bed and opened the door. It was Sang Shen. "What's up, bro?"
Sang Shen's gaze lingered on Su Yang's neck for a moment before he awkwardly looked away. "Wanwan said she's taking Sang Yu to check out her old school. Are you coming?"
"Of course. Give me a moment. I'll freshen up." Su Yang turned and headed back inside.
"Qianqian," Sang Shen called, still used to addressing her this way.
Su Yang stopped and turned around. "Yeah?"
"Your neck… maybe cover it up."
Su Yang was puzzled. "Huh?"
"Look in the mirror, and you'll see."
