Brooke frowned at him looking away, she tried to say something else, but her phone rang, she reached into her bag and pulled out the food she bought on her way over.
"Here," she said setting it on the table. "You've been here all night, you have to eat something and get your strength back up."
His tone snappy he retorted, "I didn't ask you to bring me anything! Take it with you! And don't come back!"
But Brooke just playfully shook her head and stepped outside to answer the phone call.
The call was from a restaurant, checking in on her reservation for tonight's dinner. Brooke blinked twice, Thane hadn't mentioned going out tonight, she had barely even seen him today.
She immediately called his phone, he answered almost immediately, as though he was expecting her to call.
Walking away from the door she asked, "I just got off the phone with a restaurant, did you plan an outing tonight?"
