An hour had passed, and through the glass wall, Xia Lu could still see Zhao Yue busily tapping away at her computer in the opposite office, continuing her work with no intention of coming over to help her.
"Ah..." she sighed silently.
Since asking for help was fruitless, she couldn't just keep dragging her feet here. After all, Zhao Yue had mentioned that the slower Xia Lu made her decisions, the lower the productivity of the staff beneath her would be, which would ultimately affect the company's business—and the responsibility would all fall on her.
With this in mind, Xia Lu picked up her phone and dialed Zhou Mingchen's number.
"What's up?"
"I have..." Xia Lu said quietly, "I have a document here that I don't quite understand, and I wanted to ask you about it..."
"I'm in a meeting right now, we can talk later." With that, the busy tone came through the phone, and before she could respond, Zhou Mingchen had unceremoniously hung up.
