The big rat didn't directly answer my question but asked tremulously instead.
I was aware that the big rat was wary of Yu Longting, so I stated bluntly, "Given your status, you should have found out long ago that Yu Longting has entered the Serpent Domain, a place that lies beyond the Three Realms and Six Paths, cut off from any communication."

"My time has come, and I had no choice but to resort to this lowly strategy. I cannot be certain... that you would agree... nor can I... afford to gamble... Forgive me... Lady Snake Lord," the big rat said, expressing a self-mocking acceptance of his own baseness, eyes displaying deep sadness.
Biting my lip, I felt both compassion and contempt, "And Yu Rongling?"
