Roxanne walked away with soft steps, her hair swaying gently behind her as she disappeared down the hallway.
Vivane, meanwhile, had already begun to gather up the scattered items with an expression somewhere between resignation and mild frustration. She picked up socks, underwear, and even the strange bra (which she tossed back into the basket without much ceremony).
"These clothes could at least stop multiplying... It's like drawer magic," she muttered to herself.
She piled everything back into the basket, grumbling about bad luck and portals that never warn you when they're going to open. With a quick nod to Vergil—more of an apology than a goodbye—Vivane left the room, returning to her work.
The hall fell silent once more.
