"Um… I know I'm a hero and all, but I don't think I want to try and stop him," Mizuki said sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head as Gray held Sitch at Ki-Gun-point.
"Smart move, girl," Saeko chuckled lightly at Mizuki's words, and Asuna nodded sagely next to her.
"Please just hear him out," Fubuki tried, walking up and placing a hand on Gray's shoulder. It seemed that she took his 'I'm never going to kill you because I value you so much as a gravity chamber' words to heart, as she didn't seem the least bit afraid as she tried to calm him down.
"For two S-Class heroes to be here, there's something going on," Fubuki continued, but Gray just ignored her.
"Y-Yes, let's calm down here, Saiyan, I'm sure we can come to an agreement," Sitch tried, though his voice wavered at Gray's Ki-gun pointed at his head. Despite the finger-gun not looking like a real gun, Sitch instinctively felt a sense of danger radiating from Gray's hand.
"I just told you the agreement," Gray said bluntly, not moving his hand, "You do what I say, and I don't wipe out your entire species. Deal?"
"Ho, youngsters are always so quick on the trigger," Bang chuckled at Gray's words, continuing to step forward despite Caulifla blocking his path as he approached Gray, "You might be a bit overconfident, young one, to believe you can make such a threat."
"It's not overconfidence," Gray shook his head as he glanced over at Bang, "I could kill you twenty times over, old timer."
If I used my available points, it wouldn't even be a fight.
Unless the two heroes ranking above Bang happened to be ten times stronger than him, Harro had no one who could give Gray any trouble.
"I'm well aware that I can't beat you," Bang simply smirked, surprising Gray, "I've lived long enough to know when I'm outmatched from just a glance. But I'm not the one you would have to worry about. I believe you should explain the situation to them, Sitch."
"R-Right, I'm not sure how much you Saiyans know about the state of the Planet Coalition," Sitch continued, "But it's falling apart right now. The rest of the planets have betrayed us, and soon there won't be any planet left for you to conquer! No matter how strong you think you are, I promise you won't defeat them alone."
Gray merely grinned at his words, "I like a challenge."
"Just… hear us out," Busho spoke up, closing the door to the room as the rest of Gray's squad finished streaming in, "I'll explain the situation simply first: We need you, and even if you don't know it, you need us. The rest of the Planet Coalition is using your arrival as a starting point to betray us. If we don't cooperate, this entire planet will face extinction."
"That sounds like you need my help," Gray countered, "That doesn't explain why we would need yours."
"Your group has sent forces to the other planets before, right?" Busho asked, "Then you should know how powerful they are. Each one is ruled by a monster that would take multiple S-Class heroes to take down, and Monass's King makes even those look like small fry."
"The other Squads our King sent aren't us," Gray said bluntly, "We're much stronger."
But if what he's saying is true, I should be a little bit concerned.
The gravity of Busho's words depended on what he meant by 'multiple S-Class heroes.'
Does he mean multiple Tanktop Master-level heroes? Because I could take on at least ten of him at the same time.
However, if that meant multiple Bang-level heroes, it was starting to get a bit concerning. The man wasn't extremely powerful, as his power level was around a third of Gray's, but that meant that there were monsters who were in the multiple billion range of power level.
"We're well aware of how powerful you are," Busho countered, "Destroying a city within minutes of arriving on the planet isn't something many could do. You're being considered a Dragon-God rank threat, but…"
Busho glanced at the robotic form of Metal Knight intently. For a moment, nothing happened.
"...They found a way to become stronger," Metal Knight finally spoke again, drawing the eyes of the room to him, "By as much as twenty times."
Wait, seriously?
Now that was a bit concerning - if there were monsters that were around the low billion range, but they increased their power by twenty times, then they could be stronger than even King Vegeta.
"They created a power-enhancing substance," Busho nodded at Metal Knight's words, "The situation is more dire than you think!"
Power-enhancing substance, huh? This is starting to sound a lot like Yardrat again.
"Gray," Celia muttered, stepping up next to him, "He's not lying. We should at least get information out of them."
Gray nodded slightly at her words, as he knew she wasn't wrong.
We need more information. After that, I'll decide if their worth keeping around or not.
"Fine, fuck it," Gray sighed, finally lowering his hand, "Just tell me everything."
"Make it quick," The robotic voice of Metal Knight said, "There is not much time."
"Right," Sitch nodded determinedly, looking at Gray again, "Alright, is it fair to assume your group already has a basic rundown of the coalition?"
Gray stared at him blankly.
"Ah, but you know about the structure of Harro," Sitch tried again, his eye twitching lightly.
Gray stared at him blankly.
"...I know you guys have cities and heroes," Gray said bluntly, and Sitch sighed.
I actually know a bit more than that, but I'd rather let him freely explain everything. He'll give us more information this way.
Gray's squad had been given a short briefing of each planet by Renzo prior to leaving for Harro, but by 'brief,' he meant brief. He knew Harro had humanoids, one of the other planets had a bunch of bugs, another one had a lot of water, etc. Just simple things.
"That's good enough, we don't have much time right now," Sitch said, "For many decades, our planet has been harassed by beings from the six nearby planets - Hom, Mam, Woewa, Inseton, Logon, and Monass. None of those planets got along either, but they viewed us as easy prey. The Hero Association was formed to stop these aliens - which were named Monsters."
"Each of the planets has a primary species of monster that rules over it," Busho continued where Sitch left off, "When the ships with you Saiyans, and other aliens within your forces, started to show up, we had to make a tentative alliance with them to avoid all of us dying. They allowed S-Class heroes to stay on their planets to help deal with any more of your forces, and we agreed to allow a select few monsters to stay here as well."
"But, since acquiring the power-boosting substance, the other planets no longer view your kind as a threat," Busho said bluntly, "They don't think they need us to fend you off, so they've betrayed us. Deep Sea King, Sky King, the Ancient King, Forest King, Pluton, the King of the Underworld - all of the monsters we allowed to stay here and help defend us are running wild now."
What's with all these kings? If you have that many kings, then none of them are really the king, y'know?
"So, this planet is fucked if we don't help out?" Gray asked, smirking lightly.
They're desperate, that's why they're trying to cooperate even after we killed two heroes and I threatened him. They really need us.
Desperate people were exploitable people - this was the best possible situation for Gray.
"Indeed," Sitch didn't even try to sugarcoat it, "Many of the S-Class heroes on other planets are unreachable, and the ones we have here aren't enough to deal with everything."
Gray nodded, staring at Sitch for a moment as he acted like he was thinking about it. In reality, he already knew exactly what he was going to do.
"This is all so boringggggggg! Let's just blow up the planet!" Caulifla whined, but Gray shook his head.
"We'll help you," Gray said bluntly.
"You will?" Busho asked.
"We will?" Fasha repeated.
"We will," Gray confirmed with a nod, grinning lightly, "In fact, we'll do more than just help you clean up the mess here. We need to take care of the other planets for the mission anyway, so we'll take them out for you. No more monsters."
Busho blinked in surprise at Gray's sudden cooperation, "I-I think you're still underestimating them, but that would be a great help if you could. No more monsters sounds like a dream-"
"Not for free," Gray cut off Busho bluntly, "We'll help you, but in return, you'll need to help me."
"Of course," Sitch intervened, nodding at Gray's words, "We wouldn't possibly expect you to take out the monsters on your own. The heroes we have available will be able to assist you."
"No, I don't need your help with these monsters," Gray shook his head, his smirk growing, "I mean after we finish up here."
"After?" Busho muttered with a raised eyebrow.
"Soon, I'll be taking down our races king," Gray said bluntly, causing both men's eyes to widen.
"You will?" Caulifla asked dumbly, looking up at Gray with wide eyes.
"Of course he will," Fasha smirked down at Caulifla's shocked look, "You think Gray's fine with working under someone? My future husband won't settle for anything less than being king!"
"You got a problem with that?" Gray glanced over his shoulder, locking eyes with Caulifla challengingly.
"Nah," Caulifla just grinned widely at him, getting over her shock quickly, "That's badass."
I thought she'd say that, but it's good to have confirmation.
"When that time comes, you'll help me," Gray said as he turned back to Sitch, his tone making it sound like an order instead of a request, "I'll help you, and then you'll help me. Got it?"
Busho looked over at Sitch, their eyes locking for a moment as they seemed unsure, but then Busho nodded, "If you don't help us, we'll probably be dead soon anyway. You have my word - once the monsters are defeated, I'll do everything within my authority in the Hero Association to help you. Every S-Class hero will be at your disposal."
Gray's lips twitched up in a large grin, "Good. We have a deal, then."
Let's hope the top two heroes are a lot stronger than this old guy.
Even just having the elderly man, Bang, on his side was pretty big. Aside from Caulifla and Kale, he would be the strongest ally Gray had.
Even if theres only a few actually powerful heroes, that few can be a lot more useful than an entire army.
With both Yardrat, Harro, and an elite squad of Saiyans at his disposal, taking down King Vegeta didn't seem that insane anymore.
My available points aren't enough to take him on in a straight fight yet, but I'm getting close. After the quest for this mission, and probably a few side quests along the way, I'll be there.
As if the system could hear his thoughts, a notification appeared in the corner of Gray's vision.

"Alright, enough with this boring talking shit," Gray raised his hands, cracking his knuckles as his Ki started to flare up.
"Let's get this boss rush started!"
