Chapter 151 - Destroy Infinite Stone

After I finished reading the book, Envy said she had to leave before my anger at her goddess resurfaced.

Before going, she gave me a wrapped object and told me that I would know when the time was right to open it. (I won't forget—this gift will reappear in Harry's seventh year.)

When I came out of that room—no longer under the influence of the Time Stone—I realized that only a few minutes had passed, as if I had entered the room just three minutes earlier.

I did a quick inspection of the area before we decided to gather everyone together to share our discoveries.

"That was incredible. I feel like the fall of Atlantis caused technology to regress."

"Indeed, who would have thought a simple stone could hold so much power. What became of the rest?"

"There was no more power left, only faint traces. So we couldn't keep anything."

Of course, that's a lie—but I can't exactly tell them that someone with colossal power showed up and just took it all.

Pov General,

Envy appeared, kneeling before the mysterious figure.

"May I ask why you went to see her?"

"I was curious and wanted to meet her. But know that I didn't say anything about you—I only showed the regular version of the book, and I erased all the names."

"You failed to avoid pronouncing Loya's name."

"And I sincerely apologize. The words slipped out before I could stop them."

"Good thing they did. Otherwise, I'd say you'd be getting a spanking from her."

Envy trembled slightly, knowing full well what Loya was capable of—after all, she had already disciplined Pride, Wrath, and Lust when they had their usual fight, and they came out of it traumatized.

"I'll ask Gluttony to return."

"Why?"

"She'll eventually meet Evelyn, and she already has enough experience with the other world to make a meeting between Gluttony and Evelyn inevitable."

"But she's not supposed to meet her—unless she goes to a high-class restaurant."

"The reward for the chess contest was access to high-end restaurants without having to pay, so the chances of meeting her increased. I also used a bit of future vision, which confirmed my theory."

"And what would have happened?"

"Evelyn would have realized that it was Gluttony who gave her enough aura to bring this planet to extinction. I would've had to intervene and restore the planet. I really don't want to do that, so I decided to bring her back to our world instead."

"She won't mind if you bring her back by force, so I'd like to give you some gifts."

Envy handed her goddess five Infinity Stones.

"And where's the last one?"

"I thought we could make better use of it later, so I haven't recovered it yet."

Diablora took the five stones, absorbed their power, and sighed.

"It wasn't as powerful as I expected. The only one that's truly useful is the Power Stone—it helps me increase my energy reserves."

"I'm sorry. I really thought these powers would be useful to you."

She dropped into a dogeza position, bowing deeply to apologize as sincerely as possible.

"Don't worry. At least this way, no one in this world can use them for evil purposes."

"I don't think Evelyn would ever do anything wrong."

"True—but that only applies to Evelyn. Others, like Voldemort, would do anything to gain such power. So keeping it out of reach is for the best."
