Lilith carefully lit the candle, the soft flame casting a golden glow on Alexander's face. She held out the cake with a grin. "Happy birthday, human doll. You're now a 26-year-old man," she teased playfully.
Alexander narrowed his eyes, leaning forward slightly. "Old man? Huh?" he scoffed, voice low and amused. "You do know this is the best age to get married and start having children."
Lilith rolled her eyes, lips twitching into a smirk. "I'm still twenty-four. Way too young for that, old man," she said, drawing out the words as if rubbing it in.
Without warning, Alexander flicked her forehead lightly, and she let out a soft yelp, laughing. Then he looked at the candle and closed his eyes. His expression softened, all teasing gone for a brief second. He made a wish silently, the edges of his lips tugging up into a small smile before he leaned forward and blew out the candle in one breath.
