Chi Yue brought the noodles to his face, "Mianmian said you haven't eaten much these past few days, so she asked me to make you something to eat."
Fu Rongyin glanced at the Zhajiangmian she had placed on the table, a flicker of something different in his eyes, quickly concealed, "Leave it here."
Chi Yue did not linger and turned to leave.
The sound of the door closing came, and Fu Rongyin put down his pen and stared at the bowl of noodles, lost in thought.
Chi Yue played with Fu Mianmian for a long time but Fu Rongyin did not come down, and Fu Mianmian was already nodding off, her little head bobbing up and down like a pecking chicken.
Chi Yue thought for a moment, then took Fu Mianmian to the guest room.
As soon as Fu Mianmian touched the bed, she woke up, clinging to her and refusing to let go.
It took her a good while to soothe her until she finally drifted off, drowsy.
