Chapter 331 - DD2-Chapter 331: Tang San's Reply, "I Must Have a Reason for Doing This!"

DD2-Chapter 331: Tang San's Reply, "I Must Have a Reason for Doing This!"

At this moment, in the gap between the planes, after repeated contemplation, the God of Destruction finally confirmed that the figure on the screen was Tang San!

The divine power he exhibited was quite similar to Tang San's! Even though he had tried his best to conceal it, he couldn't hide it completely. As a super strong being, the God of Destruction successfully recognized Tang San's identity after his thorough examination. So, he didn't continue to indulge Tang San and turned his gaze directly toward him, questioning him without hesitation.

"This..." Tang San suddenly broke into a sweat. He quickly began devising a response in his mind.

He knew very well that if he couldn't provide the God of Destruction with a reasonable explanation, the other party might directly attack him. This was something Tang San wanted to avoid. Thus, he kept searching for a way to resolve the situation in his heart.

"What? Is it the Sea God?"

"Isn't that impossible? If it is the Sea God, then he has broken the rules, right?"

"But to be fair, this person's divine power is very similar to the Sea God's. I didn't notice that before, but thinking back, it does seem to be the case."

"Yes! I also just realized this; this person isn't the Sea God, right?"

The other gods began to discuss among themselves, unable to comprehend how events had led to this point. However, it should be noted that Tang San was one of the five great gods in the God Realm, and while the God of Destruction dared to confront him, they did not. Thus, they could only whisper among themselves.

Xiao Wu couldn't help but take a few steps back upon hearing these words. Looking intently at Tang San, her eyes were filled with disbelief. She then asked him in a somewhat angry tone, "Brother San, is it you? Come on! What's going on?"

The entire situation was becoming increasingly unfavorable to Tang San, causing him to sweat even more. The God of Destruction did not want to let Tang San off the hook. So, without giving him much time to think, he pressed further: "Sea God, are you guilty? Why are you silent?"

At that moment, several other God Kings stood up to voice their opinions.

The Goddess of Life said, "Destruction, this is something that happened in the future, so it's normal for the Sea God to need some time to explain it."

God of Kindness added, "Yes, Destruction, who knows what Sea God has to hide? Let's wait to hear what he has to say first."

The God of Destruction snorted coldly, "Then let him speak!"

The eyes of all the gods turned back toward Tang San. After seeing this scene, Tang San realized he couldn't escape today, and he had to provide a suitable explanation. But it must be said that Tang San's mind was incredibly sharp. While the situation was extremely unfavorable, he still conjured up a plausible excuse.

He stood up directly and addressed the gods, "Everyone! Please, listen to me. There are two things I want to emphasize. Please bear with me."

"The first thing, I have already mentioned—is that everything displayed on the screen has yet to occur."

"Even if that powerful existence has confidently told us this is a future event we should trust, I still believe we must exercise caution concerning things that have not yet transpired."

"We shouldn't wrongly accuse anyone based on this."

But Tang San knew this statement alone would not convince everyone. So he spoke again soon after.

"Of course, I understand that simply stating this won't sway you."

"Everyone believes that what is shown on the screen is likely a real future."

"Now, let's first resolve the notion that it is indeed the future."

"Because this situation has not yet happened, all I can provide now are speculations about my thoughts in the future."

"I can try to hypothesize why I might act this way in the future and offer you my reasoning."

"Whether or not you accept it, or whether you choose to believe it, that is entirely your decision."

After he finished speaking, all the gods nodded. The God of Destruction pressed Tang San again, "Stop beating around the bush! Hurry up and explain!"

Tang San continued, "I admit that the figure on the screen is indeed me. I had already discovered this before the God of Destruction pointed it out."

"But why didn't I acknowledge it sooner? It's not because I want to shirk responsibility."

"I've been pondering why I would behave that way in the future."

As he spoke, Tang San's tone rose significantly.

"After some reflection, I concluded."

"The reason my future self manifested at this time and initiated such a large-scale assessment is primarily because I seek to find a successor."

The God of Destruction and the other gods paused, a little stunned. "A successor?"

Tang San continued, "Yes! A successor."

"Before becoming gods, we all believed the God Realm to be a carefree and wonderful place."

"But in reality, is that truly the case?"

"Since my arrival in the God Realm, I've realized how naïve my earlier views were."

"The greater the ability, the greater the responsibility. Since ascending to godhood, each of us gods has had to shoulder new responsibilities, making every day feel exhausting."

"And as the enforcers of the God Realm, especially for the Sea God and the Asura God, my responsibilities are even heavier."

"So, after a long period of hard work, I must admit, I am truly fatigued."

"I had planned to speak about this later, but now feels appropriate. I want to take this opportunity to share with you all."

"I have long wanted to find an heir to take on the roles of the Sea God and the Asura God so that I can pass on my powers."

"After that, I want to leave the God Realm with Xiao Wu and live a life that belongs solely to us. For so many years, I haven't truly accompanied her on adventures in the Douluo Universe."
