In the following year, everything went well—or rather, better than I had even expected it to be. First off, I was now taking Fuinjutsu classes from Grandma Mito alongside Kushina.
Now, believe me when I say this, but it was trying Fuinjutsu that made me realize I had been severely underutilizing my brain up until now. In fact, the entire system of Fuinjutsu is flawed. Almost everything is simply about sealing—sealing people, sealing tailed beasts, sealing chakra, sealing this, sealing that... Even the explosion tags produced by Fuinjutsu are just explosions sealed within a paper tag.
But Fuinjutsu can possibly do more—a lot more. Unlike conventional jutsu, Fuinjutsu is something akin to coding. You create formulas and implement them for desired results. Now you might be thinking, how is this good? And isn't this more complicated than Ninjutsu?
Then yes, you are indeed correct. Fuinjutsu in essence is more difficult than Ninjutsu—hence the reason why there are so few Fuinjutsu masters. But, I am different from them. I have a brain that can outperform supercomputers. I can create absurd shit out of Fuinjutsu if need be...
And I've decided that it will indeed be one of my main research topics in the future.Hmm, that reminds me—now is a good enough time to start my plans. I've already prepared the basics required.
I teleported to one of my bases far away from Konoha.'Alright, so what I need are two things: money and information. And Wood Style has granted me the perfect opportunity for both. First off, wood clones are different from shadow clones—they're much more durable and lifelike, and they can't be easily identified, even by shinobi like Uchiha Madara. Safe to say, almost no one can find them in the world.'
My plans were simple. Just like how the Akatsuki had White Zetsu as a source of information, I would use my clones—specially created clones with almost zero combat power and a max-level stealth skillset—to form a grid-like network covering almost the entire world.
I had modified these clones to remove the function of memory transfer after destruction. Instead, they would transfer all data in real-time with no delay. But the memories would not come to me directly. Rather than having all the useless data fill my head, I had applied Fuinjutsu to create specialized clones to receive the memories and carefully sort them. They were tasked to remove any useless data—which made up around 99% of the memories—then transfer the rest of the useful data to me.
As for how these clones would keep on running? Simple. An application of Wood Style—the clones were simply like trees. They could absorb sunlight and minerals from the ground to sustain themselves. The energy produced was chakra, similar to how humans eat food for chakra. But the basic clone consciousness I had granted them was not enough to produce large amounts of chakra, since chakra requires both physical and mental energy.
Therefore, these clones had no combat ability at all. Just reconnaissance and data sorting. But just like White Zetsu, they had top-tier hiding skills. They could operate with so little chakra that most sensory ninjas would simply ignore them even if they were in plain sight.
Now you may be wondering why I did all that? The first reason lies in Ninjutsu. Yes, I was stealing the jutsus of the other villages. I won't actively do anything—my clones would just sit and watch with the Six Eyes, and whenever someone comes out to practice their jutsu, it conveniently becomes our jutsu.
I then stepped out of the base and created a total of one hundred standard wood clones."Alright everyone, you know what to do. Change your appearance and leave the spy clones all over the world. Factor in Rikugan's vision radius, and try not to leave any blind spots."I ordered, and all the clones simply nodded and disappeared.
'Hmm, now that that's settled, let's start the next phase of the plan—catching experimental subjects.'Was this evil? Very much. Was this necessary? ...Not so much. But it would be good to have them. I should at least try and get a specimen from every good Kekkei Genkai out there.
I flared up a large amount of chakra and created three wooden clones, each with Kage-level chakra."You three, head to Kirigakure and get a Kaguya clan member. Then look if you can find any remnants of the Hagoromo clan. Deliver them to the base here."And with a nod, they vanished too.
If I had to recreate Otsutsuki genes, I had to go beyond the information shown in the anime. In over a thousand years, there would probably be many clans with some sort of Otsutsuki descendence. As for why I had asked to look for Hagoromo clan remnants, it was simply because they had the same name as the Sage of Six Paths. While it may have been a coincidence, checking it out doesn't hurt.
As for the major Otsutsuki-descended clans like Senju, Uzumaki, Uchiha, and Hyuga—I already possessed the topmost quality Senju genes. Uzumaki can be obtained by simply taking blood samples from Kushina or Grandma Mito. As for Hyuga and Uchiha... there's a war going on. No one would miss a few missing Uchiha or Hyuga.
Heck, I could even pin the blame on other villages easily.Well, that sorts it out... Now, since I'm outside the village, let's check up on Tsuna. Haven't seen her in quite a while.
I teleported to the base closest to the Land of Rain, and then continued to move toward the supposed battlefield. Soon, the signs of war were visible—empty villages, destroyed landmarks, rattling orphans and refugees... My first impression of war was frankly not as exciting as I had imagined...
In my past life, I had never witnessed war, and what I knew of it was merely clips of fighter jets and war machines in action, which—frankly—was practically an adrenaline booster. But in here, witnessing war closely for the first time, I came to realize its consequences...
Maybe now I can somewhat understand the drive for peace which everyone has in this war-torn world. Because seeing this scene was almost like seeing hell—the skinny, malnourished children, homeless people squabbling... It was an eye-opener...
But...
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and resolved myself.Indeed, this world is a mess. Maybe I can try to improve it in my free time, but I would certainly not make it my life goal and waste my life on it...
I had goals—dreams to achieve—which I placed higher than helping people I did not know or care about.Maybe when I start my trade corporations, I can give some donations and help them.
For now, they have my sincere condolences.
