Chapter 267 - Chapter 264: Eliminate at All Costs! (1)

Inside the cabin of the Margaret, Kingo stared at Josh, who was meditating nearby, looking a little dazed.

It had been five days since he was captured and brought here.

Even though he had been locked in the cargo hold all that time, the slight swaying of the surroundings told him that he was on a ship.

At first, Kingo thought that the other party would immediately set out to capture Druig after revealing his whereabouts.

But in fact, Josh hadn't left the ship at all in the past five days. Instead, he came to see Kingo at the same time every day.

To be precise, he didn't actually check on him—he just sat nearby and meditated, never speaking or interacting with him in any way.

This made Kingo uneasy.

Was this guy some kind of madman who wanted to do something to him? Why else would he just sit here every day and stare at another man without doing anything else?

After spending over seven thousand years on Earth, Kingo was well aware of some of the strange hobbies humans had.

Because of this, his frustration from being captured only grew.

If Josh knew what was going through Kingo's mind, he would probably tear him apart on the spot.

The only reason Josh came here to meditate every day was that the mana around Kingo was incredibly strong. Training near him tripled his usual mana gathering speed.

If he had a choice, he wouldn't want to sit here and stare at an Eternal disguised as an earthling every day.

Still, if he ever got the chance, he might consider capturing Cersei or Thena instead and using them as a "mana gathering array" instead of Kingo.

Hmm... though he wasn't sure if having multiple Eternals together would speed up the energy concentration.

"Uh... sir, I still don't know how to address you," Kingo finally couldn't hold back and asked Josh, who was meditating nearby.

But Josh ignored him and continued his meditation.

"Didn't you say that your friend was taken by Druig? Why don't you seem worried at all? Or are you really not that close to him? You never planned to rescue him, did you?" Kingo questioned again.

"If you're trying to figure out my plan against Druig, don't bother. My people left on the first day, and unless something unexpected happened, they should have found him by now!"

Just as Kingo waited several minutes, thinking Josh wouldn't respond and was about to say more, Josh suddenly opened his eyes and spoke.

"The one who captured me—is it that woman named Natasha? You seem to trust her a lot."

Hearing Josh speak, Kingo's eyes showed a hint of excitement. Among the Eternals who came to Earth, he was the most extroverted. After being captured, aside from Josh interrogating him on the first day, no one had spoken to him, and he had been suffocating from the silence.

"So what if I do? And what if I don't?" Josh replied, barely moving his eyelids.

"It's nothing, just talking. You don't seem to have anything else to do," Kingo said. He had no idea that Josh actually was training. It wasn't that they didn't understand the concept of training, but their impression was that training was something done by Kamar-Taj sorcerers or Kunlun warriors. He had never seen someone like Josh simply meditating as a form of training.

"...Why don't we check on my team's progress in tracking Druig?" Josh ignored his words and instead smiled slightly and asked a question.

"Check? How?" Kingo was momentarily stunned by Josh's words and looked at him curiously.

Then he saw Josh stand up, take a disk-shaped object out of his coat, and place it on an empty spot nearby.

With the push of a button, a holographic projection appeared in the cargo bay.

The image displayed was of a dense rainforest.

Unless Kingo was mistaken, it was the Amazon rainforest.

Remembering what Josh had said earlier, if he wasn't lying, then this was a live broadcast of an operation taking place in the Amazon Rainforest.

Holographic projection technology. Live streaming technology.

Kingo's expression became serious.

Most Eternals didn't fully understand technology, but thanks to Phastos, they had at least been exposed to it enough to recognize its significance.

Kingo knew very well that these technologies shouldn't even exist in this era.

And on top of that, Josh and his people knew about the existence of the Eternals.

This made Kingo suspect that Josh and his group were either not from Earth at all or had obtained technology from another advanced civilization.

However, his thoughts were soon interrupted by what was happening on the screen.

The holographic projection was in first-person view. In the frame, Kingo saw countless armed robots moving forward alongside the camera's perspective, advancing rapidly into the dense forest.

"Oh... no!"
