Chapter 83 - Fighting

The loud creak of ancient hinges echoed through the chamber as Zarek pushed the heavy door open. A silent breeze brushed against his face, carrying with it the scent of damp stone and decay.

He tilted his head upward, eyes scanning the vast, shadowed interior for threats,It was empty.

A breath of relief escaped his lips, soft and shaky. He stepped forward cautiously, each footfall echoing in the stillness.

The walls were blanketed with moss and vines, their damp surfaces glistening with moisture. Water dripped somewhere in the distance. Faint, ancient engravings — symbols and signs — were etched into the stone, though many were obscured by layers of dirt and vegetation, long forgotten.
