Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – The Beginning

June 16, 2500, world of Celestia

In the capital of one of the world's great countries, the metropolis pulsed like the true technological heart of Celestia.

At night, under a sky distorted by artificial lights and vibrant neons, the city buzzed with incessant activity.

Towering skyscrapers cut through the clouds, adorned with shimmering holographic panels. Drones flew silently overhead, patrolling the skies.

The constant flow of people in the streets reflected the breakneck pace of the modern age.

Orion moved slowly through the crowd, his imposing figure standing out from the frantic rush around him. The confusion of the city didn't bother him - he had already faced chaos in its cruelest forms, on the front lines of the battlefield.

His gray hair and piercing gaze hid the fifty years he carried on his shoulders - years marked by invisible scars, harvested from decades of military service.

Then a gunshot cut through the urban noise. A sound almost imperceptible to anyone, but one that Orion - with trained ears and sharp reflexes - isolated with precision amid the confusion.

His eyes widened, scanning the horizon in search of the source of the shot.

With steady steps, he moved away from the crowd and picked up the phone.

"Target confirmed. I need backup on Central Avenue." His voice came out firm and controlled - a command, not a request - before he hung up and picked up the pace.

Taking refuge in the shadows of a narrow alleyway, the vibrant lights of the city were left behind. The tension in the air was thick. At the end of the alley, a young blonde woman was waiting for him, wearing simple clothes that concealed her true nature. Their eyes met in silent recognition. Without exchanging words, they entered an underground bar together, hidden from prying eyes.

Inside, sitting at a recessed table, they met a tall, robust man. His scarred face and muscular body revealed that he was no ordinary civilian. The meeting was brief, but charged with dark intentions - the atmosphere thick, as if something grand was about to begin.

Hours later...

Back home, Orion collapsed into the old leather armchair. The weight of years of secrets and duties was piling up on him. A sip of drink wasn't enough to drown out his growing tiredness, but something nagged at him: the distinct feeling that the world was about to change.

The sharp ring of the telephone broke the silence. He answered, reluctantly. The familiar voice on the other end carried an unsettling concern.

The conversation went on longer than expected, and the cold, meticulous tone only intensified the warning. After hanging up, Orion remained silent, staring at the ceiling, trying to gather his jumbled thoughts. Something was coming - and it wasn't good.

The next morning, the armored jeep arrived on time. Without saying a word, Orion got in. His eyes observed the outside world, but his mind traveled through distant memories, connecting fragments of an obscure puzzle.

Suddenly, a hail of gunfire exploded ahead.

Armored cars appeared on the road. Masked men descended, opening fire. The reinforced glass of the jeep cracked under the brutal pressure.

The exchange of fire was intense. Adrenaline coursed through Orion's veins as he tried to react. But then a sharp pain hit him in the chest.

Looking down, he saw his shirt soaked with blood. The pain spread quickly, obscuring his consciousness. And before he could understand what was happening - everything went dark.

The Infinite Void

Orion opened his eyes. There was no darkness. There was an infinite space, where time and reality dissolved into an eternal flow.

He floated, weightless, in the heart of the cosmos.

The silence there wasn't the absence of sound - it was the presence of a deep calm that filled everything.

Nebulae pulsed with exotic colors. Black holes consumed the light of dying stars. Distant galaxies spun slowly, like whirlpools in a cosmic ocean. Orion felt like he was on the edge of the universe itself.

At the center of this void, an ancient altar stood out - its presence disturbing, mesmerizing. The stones that formed it glowed with a bluish light, as if they held an ancient secret.

After what seemed like an eternity, an invisible force began to pull him towards the altar. Suddenly, a holographic screen appeared in front of him:

[...Mortal... Orion Oliveira... from the planet Celestia... sector ********...]

[...detecting...Soul... failure... failure..... the Soul has not entered the cycle of Reincarnation...]

[...Looking for solutions...]

[...Accessing protocols under equilibrium ...]

[...@^#^@:$-%@%-%□"-%-%■^^@%****%$#...]

[... I accept...]

[...Reincarnate...]

[...1]

A blinding light emerged from the altar.

Orion was engulfed by the light of the altar.

Before the darkness, however, tiny details became fixed in his subconscious:

The blue runes on the altar formed spirals identical to his war scars.

A voice echoed.

[...Reincarnate...]

and for a moment, it sounded like his own voice, distant and echoing.

As he was thrown into the void, images of an empty, lifeless place came to his mind - fragments of a dream that dissipated as he lost consciousness.

Immortal World: Aeternum

In the mountain ranges to the west of the continent of Aetherion, an intense light broke through the ancient darkness that hovered there. The brightness lasted for hours, but strangely, no one seemed to notice anything unusual.

When the light dissipated, it revealed a vibrant forest. Colossal trees touched the sky. Creatures roamed their domains. Giant birds rested in nests that looked more like natural fortresses.

At the center of this natural spectacle, a man lay motionless.

He was breathing lightly. Curiously, the creatures around him ignored him, walking as if he were invisible.

Over time, his fingers moved. His eyelids fluttered.

The man opened his eyes in fright and found himself waking up in a dark forest, with his vision limited to a few meters in front of him.

Confusion overtook his mind, but soon his eyes, clouded by uncertainty, regained their brown color as memories of his life returned.

Yes, he was Orion Oliveira.

He remembered dying in an exchange of fire, waking up in an incomprehensible place, and seeing holographic messages before being swallowed up by light.

"Damn it, what happened? Didn't I die?" Finally, he stood up and looked at himself as he looked around, feeling relieved to be whole and safe.

Orion scratched his head and found himself at a loss as to what to do now, could he be in the legendary hell?

"There's nothing I can use, damn it, am I still in Celestia?" he said, finding nothing of value in his surroundings.

"This forest is very dark, I can already see the danger in wandering around without information, thank God my years in the army weren't in vain fufufu " Finally determined to explore, Orion took a deep breath and decided to head to the right.

"They say starting off on the right foot is lucky, that's right, I need a lot of luck in hell" Orion thought aloud

As he lifted his right foot, a peculiar sound echoed in his mind, making him alert. Instinctively, he calmed down and looked around.

But as he lifted his foot again, a translucent screen appeared in front of him. Surprised:

"What the fuck is this? Am I dreaming? AHHHHHH DAMN" he pinched himself, convincing himself that he wasn't dreaming. Approaching the screen, Orion read the messages that appeared:

『DING』

『Congratulations, you have been chosen as the sole owner of the Primordial System.』

『The Primordial System existed before Primordial Chaos began Creation』

『Its purpose is to help the owner realize his dreams in his new life.』

Confused, Orion didn't understand what this meant. He raised his hand to touch the screen, but his fingers went straight through it.

『DING』

『The host doesn't need to try to touch the screen. The System is in your soul; all you have to do is think, and everything follows naturally from the wishes.』

"New life? I died in that firefight? where am I? Grhhhhh this is giving me a headache" Orion said aloud in frustration.

『DING』

『The host died and in the process of balancing the multiverse, the owner's soul was supposed to go into the cycle of Reincarnation like all souls, but with my intervention you find yourself in another world...』

『...You are now in the world of Aeternum, a world of cultivation』

『Would the host like to know more about the current situation?』

Orion finds himself thinking deeply about the recent events he's been through "System tell me about..."

『DING』

『...the System has judged that the forest in the current location is free of danger, the continent has a low concentration of Ether, the kingdoms and clans nearby are just beginning their cultivation path so they won't present any danger in the long run, the kingdoms further away are the ones the host should pay attention to but with the system, there's nothing the host can't do...』

"So I'm in a cultivation world, like in Celestia's webnovel stories," thought Orion incredulously.

"Now tell me what functionality the System has," Orion murmured in a low, expectant voice.

『DING』

『The System exists to do the host's bidding, I can do anything and since the list is infinite, I can pass all the functionality to the host's mind』

Orion contemplates deeply about the system, but decides to throw away the shit he was thinking and go all the way since he has no choice in this new life but this system.

"Pass the memory on to me," he thought

Without warning, a storm of information formed inside his mind.

His eyes clenched shut and a chill ran through his body. The pressure increased with each new memory.

Each piece of information was like a shard - sharp, painful, crushing.

"No! What's happening?" Arthur tried to shout, but his voice barely came out.

The pressure in his head grew, threatening to explode. Memories overlapped in a chaotic whirlwind.

"Aaagrhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Suddenly, everything changed. A wave of information hit him like an avalanche. Thousands of memories overlapped, one after the other.

Hours later...

Orion woke up again on the forest floor. His shirt was soaked with sweat. He was groggy.

"Damn, that was worse than death"

"I'm glad I didn't die after spending less than a day in my new life, P- wait..."

Knowledge flooded his mind - information about the System organized itself.

He quickly understood: the System could do anything.

"AMAZING"

Orion marveled at the possibilities. He wondered what he would do next.

Then he remembered: in every world of cultivation, one truth was constant - the strongest had the final word.

"System, I want to know the levels of immortal cultivation in the world and raise my cultivation to be the strongest you can fufufu-Hahahhaha" he whispered with an evil grin "and now that I have a new life, I want to be different, give me a new body"

『DING』

『...The realms of cultivation in Aeternum are as follows...(be aware that higher levels of cultivation exist in higher worlds)...』

『...Spiritual Refinement Realm, Foundation Realm, Core Formation Realm, Innate Realm, Nascent Soul, Eternal Palace Realm, Immortal Divinity Realm, Path Sage, Enlightened Sage, Transcendent King, quasi-emperor, Great Emperor, Great Celestial Emperor Realm, quasi-immortal...』

『...These are Aeternum's cultivation levels...』

『...now Beginning Body Transformation...』

『...3』

『...2』

『...1』

Orion's body began to emit a holy light so intense that it caused the beasts of the forest to hide, their instincts screaming to flee from the mini-sun that was now burning in the center of the forest....
