That night, the words of the gods spread throughout Orario.
However, the protagonist of this world-famous tale of a god-slaying hero, Takema Kirie, underwent a free update at that very moment.

Taking the paper with his new status from Hestia, Yuri examined it carefully.
First, his level had been updated to Lv. 3, and all his parameters had been reset to zero.
Yuri had now been promoted to Level 3, which meant he could be considered an elite adventurer among many familias in Orario.
"Yuri, the new development abilities this time are: Swordsman, Magic Defense... and Mystery!" Hestia said, visibly surprised.
The 'Swordsman' development ability is usually obtained by adventurers who frequently fight with swords—it enhances a swordsman's growth, combat ability, and so on.
As for 'Magic Defense,' it only appears when you've gained experience points by effectively defending against magic or reducing magical damage. It increases resistance to magic, reducing both effects and damage from any kind of magical attack.
And 'Mystery'...
In all of Orario, fewer than five people possessed this development ability. It was a power as rare as it was dangerous. Blacksmiths with 'Mystery' created weapons more precious than magic swords. Alchemists could distill elixirs capable of restoring life itself. Long ago, one man even used this ability to create an item that granted immortality.
This power represented miracles!
To Yuri, both Swordsman and Magic Defense were useful, but not essential.
However, that Mystery ability—if lost now, it could be difficult to ever obtain again.
"Yuri, pick that one!" Hestia said, excitement overtaking her before Yuri could even respond.
"Understood. I'll go with you on this and choose 'Mystery' as my development ability."
Hestia smiled immediately, then looked over the rest of Yuri's updated status.
His magic hadn't changed. His skills were still the same—amazing, but unchanged. But then…
"Huh? This [Unknown Skill]… It has a new effect now?"
"How... how is that possible? How can an existing skill gain a new effect?"
Indeed, a new ability had been added to the list of effects under the Unknown Skill:
Each magic slot can learn any spell, without restriction.
Ignore the chains of divine grace and self-promote by consuming the blood of gods.
Normally, if a god dies, their adventurer's falna would become locked, making further leveling impossible—unless they joined a new god's familia.
With this skill, it meant Yuri could renew his falna himself by consuming divine blood. Not even the god of his familia could stop his growth.
Fortunately, Hestia had become completely docile toward him. Their relationship now far exceeded the typical bond between a god and their child—otherwise, Hestia would likely have become uneasy once again.
Even so, this new skill's effect left her deeply shaken.
But when Hestia's eyes fell upon Yuri's next skill, she froze. Her hands trembled as she dropped the paper onto the bed. Her voice came out weak and fearful:
"Yuri… This skill… You must NEVER let anyone know about it!" she cried, terrified.
"If they find out… there won't be a single place in Orario where you'll be safe!"
Yuri calmly read the description of his new skill. And there it was:
---
[God Slayer]
> He who slays gods bears the crown of fate.
Defeated the Sun God, extinguished his light, and is remembered as the man who brought down the sun itself.
Attacks deal special damage to gods, bypassing divinity and resistance.
Luck increases significantly when facing divine beings.
Complete suppression against solar-attribute creatures.
Affinity with lunar, dark, and occult forces.
For every god slain, a new miracle may be born.
---
Yuri dropped the paper on the bed and sat in long silence after reading this. Then, he whispered softly:
"Apollon… I may have judged you too harshly. You were actually… a good man."
Yuri himself hadn't expected such tremendous benefits to come from the War Game.
He had only fought a few Level 3 adventurers, and maybe a hundred Level 1 and 2s. The profit was beyond enormous.
Letting out a long sigh, Yuri's eyes fell on the final line of the skill.
Even he couldn't help but marvel at the implication behind it.
'It's basically encouraging me to continue killing gods to gain new powers… Just one Sun God gave me such divine potential and unique effects. It's incredibly tempting.'
A shame something like this could likely only happen once.
No other god would be foolish enough to make such a bet with him again.
Even if they did, Yuri wouldn't dare keep slaying gods. Doing it once was tolerable—but twice, and he'd become a direct enemy of the divine.
Besides, gods weren't allowed to use their divine power. But if they were truly about to die and return to heaven… they'd definitely retaliate first.
In that case, Yuri would be forced to use his 'Izanagi.'
"You don't need to worry, Hestia. I won't do anything reckless until I have enough power to protect myself," Yuri reassured her.
"Come here."
He beckoned the girl behind him, and the goddess crawled into his arms skillfully. Just as she was about to collapse into a familiar hug, Yuri lifted her chin and took her lips in a kiss.
Hestia gasped softly, surprised by the sudden kiss—but unable to resist the intensity of it. The kiss was warm, deep, and full of emotion—emotion she quickly began to return. Yuri's hands gripped her waist tightly, as if to reassure himself that she was truly there, real and present in his arms.
The goddess pressed even closer against him, her fingers slipping into his hair as they explored each other in silence. Hestia's heartbeat raced, her body responding to every touch, every caress Yuri left on her bare skin.
The room was bathed in dim candlelight. There, far from the world and its dangers, they let everything else go—the gods, Yuri's new powers, the War Game. Only the two of them existed in that moment.
Yuri began undressing Hestia gently, carefully, like he was unveiling a precious gift. His fingers glided along the blue ribbon around her shoulders—her signature accessory—and loosened it delicately, letting it slide down her arms.
Hestia held his gaze, her breath shallow, cheeks flushed. There was no shame—only trust, surrender, and affection beyond words.
Yuri traced his hands down the sides of her white dress, slowly pulling it down. The fabric yielded to his touch, revealing her warm, soft skin underneath. Hestia shivered slightly at the feel of his fingers on her bare back, but she didn't pull away—instead, she moved even closer.
"You're beautiful, Hestia..." Yuri murmured, his voice husky, as if revealing a secret.
She smiled shyly, but her eyes said everything—how much she wanted to be his, here and now, without holding anything back.
As the dress fell away completely, revealing the goddess in all her splendor, Yuri pulled her firmly into his embrace, feeling her warmth against his body. He kissed her collarbone, her shoulder, and then her lips again—this time with more urgency, more desire.
Yuri's hands explored every detail of Hestia's body, guided by her soft moans and gentle touches.
Their whispers, their trembling breaths, and their burning gazes turned the night into a whirlwind of emotion. It was an intense, intimate moment—one where their bodies moved in rhythm, as if each touch was a silent vow.
There was no rush. Only passion.
And in the end, as Hestia curled up against Yuri's chest, her breath still uneven, eyes sparkling with affection, she whispered:
"Thank you… for letting me be yours… like this."
Yuri kissed the top of her head, saying nothing—but his heart was as bare as hers.
"I'll never let you run from me, my Hestia…" he laughed softly.
"Hehehehehe~" Hestia giggled too, curling tighter into his chest.
