Qin Ye rode his bike to the entrance of the village, where he saw Qin Shoulin and Qin Liangcai, the uncle and nephew.
Naturally, they also saw him.
"Qin Ye," Qin Liangcai called out to him, then his expression turned somewhat embarrassed, "I'm sorry about yesterday, Qin Ye! My mother was talking nonsense. You and your wife shouldn't mind her."
Usually, upon hearing this, one might say it's fine or it doesn't matter, but Qin Ye didn't do so.
His gaze was indifferent. "If it weren't for your grandfather's sake, I wouldn't have let my wife get involved in that matter at all yesterday. Today, too, it's only for your grandfather's sake, or else I wouldn't have come."
Qin Liangcai's expression stiffened, and he appeared a bit awkward.
"Qin Ye, your uncle knows you are a good man, and your wife is even kinder... It's my sister-in-law who wronged your wife last night. From now on, I won't let her bother you anymore, and I'll make sure someone keeps her mouth shut."
