Drip
Standing in the middle of a destroyed room with blood dripping from his fingers was Sado, slightly hunched over with a large gash on the right side of his face, his long spiky hair was filthy, covered in mud and dust. The simple test between Sado and Leeks had transformed into a full-on battle.
It was only a matter of time, after all; anytime you put two Saiyans against each other, the likelihood they hold back is nearly zero. The two glared at each other, gasping for air, until in a flash, Leeks pointed his palm towards Sado. Immediately, Sado crouched, ready to dash to his right, before Leeks spoke.
" Congrats, you passed. " A confused look appeared on Sado's face as he slightly tilted his head and responded.
" What do you mean? Aren't we going to finish our fight? "
" We don't have time. You're scheduled to leave Planet Vegeta in a few hours, and I think it's time you went to the surface. "
" The surface? "
" It's about time you met the rest of our race. " Said Leeks, pointing up at the ceiling with his index finger, for the first time in his life, Sado was going to meet the rest of his race. Without another word said, Leeks spun around and headed towards the exit of the room, unsure of what to do next. Sado followed him...
After walking up a large winding stone staircase, the sight of a large door entered his vision, which slowly slid open, pouring bright sunlight into the vividly dark room, only lit by small lanterns. Sado could only help but squint as his mind raced with thoughts...
Pov: Sado
This light. It burns. My eyes instantly burned, as I shot my vision to the stairs, the feeling of warmth swept over me. The cold air I'm used to instantly vanishing. This was the surface; the air was lighter, easier to breathe.
The constant gentle breeze rustling my air, Leeks and I took the final step of the staircase before walking out onto a cliff, overlooking a crowded village made out of various types of stone. Throughout this village were thousands walking around interacting with each other. This light didn't lie.
Everyone is interacting with each other, just standing there? Why was I thrown into a pit and forced to survive? Where is the hunger? Why aren't they training? I stared at the crowd of people watching children playing with each other, tightly balling my fists until a hand grabbed onto my shoulder, and Leeks spoke.
" The village you see down below is my hometown, your mother is most likely down there, somewhere, although we don't know what she looks like. I'm sure it's strange seeing people interact with each other so peacefully. If it were up to me. You wouldn't have gone into that void. "
" Then why was I? " I asked. Leeks grew quiet, pondering, before he let out a sigh and spoke.
"Desperation. But I'll tell you about it some other time. You need to get dressed, and I'll send you to a place you're far more comfortable in. "
" Good. That place down below is... sickening. " As soon as I said this, Leeks eyes shot down to me with a perplexed look. " How so? "
" They're comfortable. Some of them don't even have scars on them. They haven't gone through hardships. If you were so desperate to the point you threw me into that void, surely they should be training, flying through the skies, fighting each other until the weaklings die and the strong ones survive. "
Leeks could only gently hum, looking down at the village before walking away from me, speaking. "You're set to head towards another planet, I mentioned we saiyans conquer planets already while teaching you our history. Once you get dressed, you'll have roughly one hour to walk around and explore. If I were you, I would head to that village, and maybe your ideals will change for the better. "
" Change? I highly doubt it. Once I get back, you will tell me about the reason I was thrown into that pit. If it's for some petty reason, be assured, I will kill you. "...
