Chapter 206 - 197: Heading to the Psychiatric Hospital

Despite having countless doubts in her mind, Nao still got on the back seat of Hakuto's motorcycle out of trust in him.

"President… Do you trust me?"

"I trust your mom, but I don't trust you..."

"I don't have a mom..." Hakuto cracked a dark joke, but that wasn't his real intention. "Should we go somewhere else first?"

"What do you mean?"

"To your brother's place…"

As soon as Hakuto said this, he could immediately feel Nao, sitting behind him, tremble slightly.

As expected, no matter how carefree she usually appeared, she still couldn't let go of matters concerning her family.

When Nao had just entered middle school, her own mother sold her to scientists.

Hakuto didn't know what was going through Nao's mother's mind, but those scientists had probably deceived her.

After all, Hakuto couldn't imagine that a woman who raised her children alone would sell them off just for money.

Maybe Nao's mother believed that her daughter would have a better life with those scientists…

But regardless of the reason, the fact remained that Nao was indeed sold, and her brother had also become mentally ill due to the experiments.

These were irreversible consequences… unless Otosaka Shunsuke wasn't blind yet…

"Let's go. I'll lead the way."

"Alright."

Seeing Nao nod, Hakuto didn't hesitate. He put on his helmet and even adjusted the visor on Nao's helmet.

"You don't need me to remind you to hold on tight, do you?"

"Hah? Do you think I'm some kind of idiot?"

"Maybe."

Hakuto smiled nonchalantly, then twisted the throttle and sped out of the school.

Nao held onto Hakuto's waist as she sat on the back of the motorcycle.

It was already close to 10 p.m., and the nightlife of night owls was just beginning.

On the streets, dim streetlights, colorful neon signs, and the headlights of oncoming cars flickered in Nao's vision before swiftly vanishing.

Hakuto was riding fast—so fast that when Nao glanced sideways, all she could see was a blur.

However, despite the speed, she didn't feel any danger.

Maybe it was because she trusted Hakuto, or maybe it was because she trusted his computational ability.

It wasn't until this moment that Nao realized—wasn't she supposed to be giving directions?

Wait… She felt something was off. Since she hadn't been giving directions all this time, where exactly was Hakuto heading?

Nao instinctively looked around and found that they were actually on the exact road she remembered.

"Super computation really is useful..." Nao wasn't surprised. In fact, when it came to Hakuto, nothing surprised her anymore.

Well, except when it came to him spending money to treat others…

Before long, Hakuto rode his motorcycle to their destination.

The psychiatric hospital where Nao's brother was staying wasn't particularly large, but it was luxurious—clearly something Otosaka Shunsuke had a hand in.

"My brother's name is Tomori Kazuki. Ever since he left that research institute, he's been staying in this psychiatric hospital."

"You've told me this before."

"Have I…?" Nao waved dismissively. "Then listen to it again."

She and Hakuto walked up to the reception desk.

"Hello, I'm here to visit Tomori Kazuki. I'm his sister, Tomori Nao."

Nao skillfully registered her visit, making it obvious that she came here often.

Which was only natural—after all, the only family she had left was in this hospital…

As they walked down the corridor to Tomori Kazuki's room, Hakuto suddenly asked,

"President, there's something I want to ask, but I don't know if it'll offend you."

"Hah? Since when did you get so cautious?"

"I was just wondering—what happened to your mother?"

"I don't know."

Nao acted indifferent. And really, if she were in Hakuto's position, she wouldn't just cut ties—she'd take revenge.

Before long, they arrived at Tomori Kazuki's room.

"Aaaaaah! Aaahhh!!"

As soon as the door opened, Hakuto heard a harsh, hoarse scream full of rage—

The kind of sound someone would make when their throat was already torn from shouting, yet they still forced themselves to scream in anger.

At the same time, clusters of goose feathers floated past Hakuto's vision.

Looking over, he saw a man with brown-gold hair kneeling on the bed, furiously ripping apart his pillow.

He was tearing out the stuffing and throwing it everywhere.

"The sedative's effect wore off again…" Nao silently walked over and picked up the fallen blanket from the floor.

Judging by how natural her actions were, this definitely wasn't her first time seeing her brother like this.

"I'll go get a nurse…" Nao turned to leave, but Hakuto stopped her.

"No need."

"Hm?" Nao was about to ask what he meant when she turned and noticed something—Hakuto's eyes were glowing.

Not the kind of glow that comes from reflected light, but actual radiance.

Nao couldn't describe it, but if she had to, it was like the way sunlight reflected off a piece of jade.

"I think I can handle this…" Hakuto let go of Nao's hand and slowly walked to Tomori Kazuki's bedside.

Tomori Kazuki was still frantically tearing apart the pillow, paying no attention to Hakuto approaching.

Hakuto glanced at Nao in the distance, then placed his hands on Tomori Kazuki's forehead and temples.

"Sigh…"

He let out a small sigh, then gently applied pressure with his hands.

Tomori Kazuki had been resisting, but gradually, he calmed down, sitting motionless on the bed with a vacant stare.

Seeing her brother suddenly calm down, Nao was astonished.

She knew her brother's condition better than anyone.

Even sedatives sometimes didn't work on him.

But Hakuto had merely placed his hands on his head, and he had already quieted down.

"How did you do that?"

"Me?" Hakuto pulled out a portable music player.

"I just played a ZHIEND song in his ear and gave him a little head massage. He calmed down right away."

"That… actually worked?"

"It might not work for others, but I'm different."

Hakuto confidently waved his music player. This kind of thing was a piece of cake for him.

"By the way, what was up with your eyes just now?"

"Oh, that…" Hakuto smirked. "You can probably guess."

"Super computation can do that too?"

"The more you use it, the better you get."

The moment Hakuto saw Tomori Kazuki, he had activated his computational ability to analyze him.

Time-stop abilities only activated when he was running at full capacity.

Strengthening his brain and enhancing his body to keep up with it.

Even if he wasn't running at full power, calming down a mentally unstable patient was nothing to him.

Without the time-stop effect, Nao was able to see the unusual changes in Hakuto's body when he used his ability.
