Back in the middle of the arena, the medics started to panic a little as nothing they did seemed to be of any use. Under their care, Anko became paler, and her breath seemed to get shallower by every moment.
Seeing this, Naruto couldn't say still. He disappeared in a body flicker from the participants' booth and appeared near the medical team.
"What are you doing here, Naruto of Konoha?" Isamu asked as he spotted Naruto as soon as he appeared.
"Tell these…. Amateurs to step aside." Naruto said, looking at Isamu while giving the medical team an unimpressed side eye.
"This is the team assigned to take care of any injuries that may occur in the matches. You shouldn't interfere." Isamu said
"And they are doing a wonderful job." Naruto said with a tone dripping with sarcasm as he pointed to the worsening Anko.
"If they leave her, what happens next will be on you." Isamu warned.
"Make. Them. Move." Naruto said with emphasis on every word.
"Fine. You shoulder the risk." Isamu said as he signaled the medics to stand aside.
As soon as the medics left Anko, Naruto kneeled beside her and put two fingers on the side of her neck.
'She is breathing on her own, which is good, but she is breathing too quickly, and her breaths are shallow.' Naruto thought to himself as he looked at her chest area.
'Her heart rate is through the roof and her blood pressure is dropping rapidly.' Naruto pulled his hand away from Anko's neck and started to examine her wounds. His face darkened slightly upon seeing the dark spots all around the wounds.
Naruto pulled away from Anko before taking out a scroll from the side of his utility belt and unsealing a large medical bag from it. After that, he proceeded to make a single handseal.
'Kaga bunshin no jutsu' (Shadow clone jutsu)
With a puff of smoke, three clones appeared standing around Anko.
"You (pointing to the clone on his right) pick up one of the poison-coated kunai and identify what type of poison it is. Take the poison kit from the bag." Naruto ordered, making the clone nod before reaching into the bag.
"You (pointing to the clone on his left) turn a blood pill and a chakra pill into a paste and bring them to me. Make sure they are separate and bring the blood pill first." Naruto ordered, to which the clone nodded before reaching into the medical bag
"You (pointing to the clone in front of him, making Anko between them) glove up. You are going to help me stop her bleeding and then clean and dress her wounds." Naruto said as he started putting on gloves, with his last clone doing the same.
Together, Naruto and his clone started working fast, applying turniquets and stuffing wounds with clean medical cotton to stop Anko's bleeding. Naruto couldn't close her wounds yet, as they are infected with poison that awaits removal.
Anko may have a high tolerance to many poisons, but you have to realize that it is tolerance, not immunity, as the dark spots around her wounds indicate that her body is overwhelmed by a huge dosage of poison.
"Did you really start closing her wounds?" Naruto looked with a perplexed expression at the medical team that stood nearby as he and the clone started cleaning Anko's wounds after successfully stopping her bleeding. He could see attempts to close some wounds on Anko's body.
"Well, yeah, we wanted to stop her bleeding." One medic said
"What about the poison? You saw the match and the dark spots on her wounds, right? Don't tell me you're going to close her wounds without removing the poison." Naruto said with disbelief, which increased when no one answered him.
"As I said, amateurs." Naruto mutterd returung to focus on Anko.
"Prime, the blood pill is ready." The second clone said as he approached Naruto and gave it to him before he left to prepare the other pill.
"On the count of three, we make her take a sitting position. Let's be quick." Naruto said to the clone on the other side of Anko, who nodded.
"One, two, three, and up." Naruto said as he and the clone used an arm each to make Anko sit.
The clone opened Anko's mouth before Naruto pushed the pill paste into Anko's throat. The clone then massaged her neck to stimulate her to swallow, which she did before they laid her down again.
After that, they continued to clean and dress her wounds. Gradually, they started to notice that the blood pill was taking effect as Anko's skin complexion was getting better.
Naruto returned his two fingers to her neck, and after a moment, sighed a sigh of relief. Anko's breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure are all returning to normal. Anko is now out of immediate danger, but not out of the woods yet. The poison needs to be dealt with, and the wounds need to be closed.
"Prime. The chakra pill." The second clone said before giving the pill paste to Naruto and then disappearing in a puff of smoke.
"On three again." Naruto said to the clone opposite to him before both of them did the same thing, like with the blood pill.
As they put Anko back down, the first clone came towards them before saying, "Prime, the poison is a common one used by Kiri. It is a relatively simple poison that we already have an antidote for."
Naruto nodded while silently being thankful to his mother. She was the one who packed his medical bag while also adding antidotes to all the poisons that are commonly used by other villages' genins.
"Good work. Now I want you two to carry Anko to the medical ward and prepare two dosages of the antidote. One for Anko and the other mix it with a liter of saline solution," Naruto ordered, to which the clones nodded.
The two clones, with the help of the amazed but ashamed medical team, carried Anko on a stretcher out of the battle grounds, leaving Naruto and Isamu alone.
"She was already on the ground after the mist lifted, and yet you let the Kiri genin attack her." Naruto said with a cold tone as he looked at Isamu.
"She was still conscious, and she didn't forfeit." Isamu replied evenly
"Oh really. But if I remember correctly, you came in between me and Samui, even though she didn't fall unconscious or forfeit." Naruto said sarcastically with narrowed eyes, but he didn't get a reply from Isamu.
"Very well then." Naruto said blankly before turning towards the exit.
What did he expect? Getting fair treatment from Kumo shinobi? Not at all. But in an open event like the Chunin finals, he expected basic fair treatment at the very least.
