When the sun rose high in the sky, Nytri makes her way to Harrington's house soon to become former house. He just received a letter from the king mentioning his promotion to slavery, he would have escaped but all his 'connections' were cut by the king.
Nytri arrives before the house, she sees the house with soldiers and they're taking everything from Harrington. Nytri nods her head and walks to the door, she sees Sarah standing with the other servants all wondering what to do.
Nytri waves her hand and Sarah walks over to her with a smile, the other servants try to come but they hit an invisible barrier. "Good afternoon, young miss." Sarah speaks, "Are you here to meet the lord?"
"Uhh, no." Nytri speaks, "I came here to meet you."
"Me?" Sarah puts her hand on her chest surprised.
"Yes," Nytri smiles, "You. I want you to come to Azuria."
Sarah is pleased at first but she looks down, "I cannot come with you, young miss."
Nytri tilts her head, "Why?"
"I cannot leave my family." Sarah speaks, "I've only got my grandparents left, I cannot abandon them."
"Okay," Nytri speaks, "Bring them along. You can bring anyone else you want." Sarah is surprised. Nytri continues, "A caravan from Azuria will arrive, so when it does you can join them and head to Azuria."
Sarah is elated, "Thank you thank you thank you! Thank you so much miss." She holds Nytri's hands, "Thank you so much." Nytri smiles at her. Sarah speaks, "I will tell my family and get ready today!"
Nytri smiles and taps her shoulders, "Take your time, the caravan won't be here that soon."
"So when should we be ready?" Sarah asks.
"You'll know when the caravan arrives." Nytri speaks, "You can't miss it." Sarah is confused but also happy. Nytri looks into the house being emptied in thought, "I think I'd like to see his face now. I wonder what it'll be." Nytri looks at Sarah, "Sarah, what is going on?"
Sarah looks at the house, "The lord did something bad and the king has set a punishment for him. I do not know the details but that's the rumor going around. He is not the only noble to be punished."
Nytri shrugs, "I think I'll go inside for a closer look." Nytri starts walking towards the house. Sarah looks at Nytri's back and mumbles, "Closer look? At what?" Sarah smacks her cheeks and runs off to her home to tell her parents the good news. Sarah was the only maid to help Nytri when she was still a part of this house, she'd help her whenever she could and even get punished for it. But she didn't stop.
In the evidence gathered by the Clockwork Assassin Automaton, Sarah was the only one to rush into the fire 7 years ago when the house burned for Nytri. She nearly died that day, she has burn marks on her body but she always felt bad for not being able to save Nytri.
Nytri walks into the main hall and sees Harington, Bethany, Claine and a little girl. Bethany is reading a list of charges against Harrington and the punishment also except the ones relating to Nytri.
Harrington looks dejected on the on his knees, he notices Nytri, "Dearest daughter," Harrington speaks crawling towards Nytri, "Welcome home, please help your fam-" He hits a barrier *THUD*.
"First of all," Nytri speaks, "I'm not your daughter. Second, this is not my home. Third, I'm not your family." Her tone and demeaner cold as ice.
"Sister," Claine speaks, "How could you do this to us? What did we ever do to deserve this?"
Nytri picks a paper from her storage space and throws it at them, Claine took the paper and Bethany read it. Bethany looks at Harrington, "Darling, what is the meaning of this? Explain yourself?!" she's enraged making her face red.
"What is it, mother?" Claine asks.
Nytri giggles then speaks, "Seven years ago a fire started and the daughter of Viscount Harrington was kidnapped and killed. When the scoundrels responsible were caught, rather interrogating they were killed, no questions asked." Everyone listened to Nytri, some confused but Bethany gives Harrington an angry glare.
Nytri continues, "That letter was written by the 'scum on the floor' asking the bandits to kidnap his daughter and kill her just because his scheme for a political marriage failed. But fortunately, or unfortunately for him the girl survived and was taken to Azuria where she was nursed back to health after nearly being eaten alive by monsters." Her words shocked everyone even Harrington. Though he wanted Nytri to die, but not like this.
Nytri looks down at Harrington, "And when the girl came back after 7 years, you actually expect her to say," Nytri speaks in an excited tone, "Dearest father, I have missed you so much!" her change in tone is surprising too, "I have a great story to tell you about how you tried to have me killed." Then she speaks normal, "But I survived."
The gazes Harrigton is receiving can't be described, even the shadow spies are watching. Nytri sighs, "Honestly, I intended on ignoring you since I saw no worth in seeking revenge but." She snaps her fingers and a screen appears before them, it clearly shows Harrington scheming to use Nytri again! It even shows the Assassin behind Harrington.
Harrington looks at the screen in shock, "That night….it was not my imagination."
"How could you?!" Bethany speaks.
Harrington stutters, "I… I... W..." he has no words.
Bethany speaks with rage, "You took a poor child from the orphanage and just tried to kill her." She said disappointment evident in her broken voice. And all this while she thought Nytri is an illegitimate child.
"Actually, I'm kinda grateful," Nytri speaks surprising everyone, "If not for him I wouldn't be able to do this." Nytri swipes her hand up and Harrington floats, tier 4 runic circles appear below and above Harrington. "So, there's a silver lining. If I really wanted revenge," Nytri speaks and icicles spears appear below and above Harrington, "I could kill you a thousand times over and no one can save you."
The people gasp and whisper, "She's a 4th tier mage?! That's incredible." One even speaks, "How could he throw such a great mage away and she's a 4th tier mage at such a young age." Another speaks, "Do you think she can reach 5th tier like the legendary mage?"
Nytri gazes at Harrington's family, "I could erase your generation and have my servants hunt all your surviving family. But I decided it wasn't worth it yet you still tried to use me." She slowly grips her hand and Harrington chokes then she stops, "But I know death will be…..mercy for you."
A huge rune forms before Harrington and slams into his chest, "This little thing will make sure death will reject you. Let's test it." Nytri snaps her fingers and Harrington is impaled through and through. His family watch and scream in horror at this, even the shadow spies are surprised Nytri didn't hesitate at all.
Nytri swipes her hand and the icicle spears pulls out of Harrington, he can't scream because his throat and brain are also impaled. Everyone watches as Harrington slowly heals back as if nothing happened. She drops Harrington on the floor, his family are horrified by this.
Harrington looks at Nytri with tears, "Please forgive me! I'm sorry for what I did! I shouldn't have done that!" He kneels down begging in tears.
Nytri raises a brow, "Which part, the one you tried to kill me 7 years ago? Force me into some political crap….twice or your schemes against me? You made a lot of schemes and even made back up in case I survived this time. Let's see, forcing me into marriage, slavery, assassination, poisoning, blackmail….Wow, I can go on and on." Her final statement hammered the last nail in his living coffin.
Harrington speaks with shaky voice, "E...E...E...EVERYTHING! PLEASE FORGIVE FOR EVERYTHING! I'M SO SORRY!" the room is silent.
Nytri's eye color changes, she looks at Harrington's soul and sighs, "Sure, whatever. I never had a grudge against you to begin with, I found peace. Having a grudge would just make sleeping hard for me."
The shadow leader shouts from the window, "YOU CAN'T BE THINKING ABOUT FORGIVING THIS SON OF A BITCH?!" everyone turns to look at the window and he freezes.
Nytri shrugs, "Yeah, after all." She snaps her fingers, "I can kill him anytime I want. On the bright side he's immortal." Nytri points to the shadow leader, "Also, aren't you supposed to spy on me for the prince? You're not doing a very good job."
The shadow leader laughs wryly and Number 2 facepalms herself. Bethany looks at Nytri, "Afterall he did to you, you're still willing to forgive so easily? Why?"
"I already said I've found peace," Nytri speaks, "There was never a need for this in the first place. I only came here because the scum didn't change and still wanted to use me. Despite everything I've been through, life is good." She smiles brightly.
"Oh right," Nytri speaks, "I said I've forgiven you but I don't think the king will let your treason slide so easily." She grins, "You should probably get up and start shovelling!" Nytri walks away, whatever happened next is none of her concern.
Bethany returned to her home with Claine and the girl but Claine lost his magical potential. Claine wasn't so innocent, he just wanted to forget the past but the consequences were met. As for their daughter no one knows her end or middle part of her life. Rumours spread like wildfire and it was focused mainly on the nation that saved the adopted noble lady, it popularized Azuria.
Nytri is walking back to her mansion then it dawns on her, "I forgot to take Kitt with me! I hope he's not starving!" she Teleports to her house.
