A few moments earlier.
After the shadow guards left the room, they contacted the prince through a talisman. "Your majesty?"
A voice comes from the talisman, "What is it?"
"Your highness," The shadow leader speaks, "We have learned more about Azuria and about the princess." The voice replies, "Go on." The shadow leader speaks, "We were able to gain employment in the Golden Emporium , they trade in strange artifact that have been imbued with runes. The artifacts are superior to all that I have seen and they all have a variety of purposes."
"Good," The voice speaks, "At least I know they are trading as they intended. Continue."
The shadow leader speaks, "Yes, your majesty. Aside from the artifacts they trade.... They also have a sparing ground and we witnessed a battle." The voice is intrigued and shadow leader continues, "We saw the princess' pet battle a golem."
"A golem?" The voice asks and shadow leader continues, "Yes a golem."
"What's so special about the golem for you to tell me?" The voice asks.
The shadow leader stays silent for a bit before speaking, "... The golem has enough strength to destroy the kingdom. And we overheard the princess' pet being referred to as a deity."
"A deity?" The voice speaks, "Are you certain of this?"
"Yes, your majesty." The shadow leader speaks, "I witnessed the battle with my own eyes, the deity even had difficulty facing the golem."
"This…." The voice is at a loss of words, "And what about the princess?"
The shadow leader swallows his saliva *GULPS* "We heard…..the princess is the one who made the pet a deity….and it's possible she is a god herself."
"A goddess you say?" The voice sounds ecstatic as if admiring the 'princess' more.
The shadow leader speaks, "Actually, they referred to her as an existence for greater than a god. They called her a Calamity."
The voice seems to care about the goddess part, "A goddess….a goddess….of course, with beauty such as this, she would be no less than a goddess. Those beautiful eyes, her beautiful skin which shines like gold under the sun, her elegant manner and demeaner. Truly the embodiment of grace and beauty...." He continues praising Nytri's beauty and the shadow leader doesn't get the chance to continue the report. The communication talisman eventually burns out without all the report, the shadow leader can only sigh in resignation.
The shadow leader takes another talisman and activates it, this time a different voice sounding more like a middle-aged man.
"Have you made any progress?" the voice speaks.
"Yes, my king." The shadow leader speaks.
"Very good," The king speaks, "What have learned about Azuria so far?"
The shadow leader takes a deep breath and speaks, "My king, it appears Azuria maybe a kingdom having more gods than we expected."
"Really?" The king exclaims, "Are you certain of this?"
Shadow leader speaks, "Yes my king, the manager of the store confirmed it. I even witnessed the princess' pet exhibit incredible strength surpassing anything I have seen." The king sounds anxious as he listens to the shadow leader continue speaking, "They also have a golem which is capable of standing up to the pet god, I believe there must be more of them or even greater ones since they gave one to a store."
The king speaks, "From what you have learned, do you think we stand a chance against Azuria in a war?"
"Unfortunately, no my king." Shadow leader speaks, "I fear to think of the forces behind Azuria. If a pet is considered a god, then there must be more."
The king sounds frustrated and groans, "The goddess has still not responded to our call. I do not know how to handle this Azuria. We know little of what they're capable of. If we provoke them to war, we might not stand a chance. There's also the possibility of all this being a cover up," the king sighs, "I'll have to discuss this with the other nations. Have you gotten anything on the princess?"
Shadow guard speaks, "No my king, she left before I gained employment and hasn't returned yet. I do not know her whereabouts."
"Hmmm, keep an eye on her when she returns." The king speaks, "I want you to report to me what she likes and dislikes. I will try to arrange a marriage between my son and her. Hopefully, an alliance will be formed with Azuria so if it is as powerful as you say it is, then we will gain a powerful ally. If not, then we at least gain the princess to live with us and control Azuria."
"Yes, my king." Shadow leader speaks, "I will get close to her when she returns and report anything I learn about her to you." The communication ends and the shadow leader and second shadow return to the dorm to sleep, they notice Isadora sitting on the top of the building under a little roof but the continued into the dorm.
Back on the king's side, the king was moving and was communicating with the shadow leader. The king arrived before the door of the prince and knocks, he enters after to see his son in a strange situation. His son, the prince had a portrait of Nytri drawn and kept admiring it.
"Ahem," The king clears his throat to draw the prince's attention.
The prince turns to see the king, "Father, what brings you here?"
"Son," the king speaks, "I spoke with the shadow leader and I plan on arranging a marriage between you and the princess of Azuria. I wa-"
The prince spreads his arms wide, "WONDERFUL! Oh goddess of Azuria, you shall be mine. We shall be husband and wife, I'll have you to myself and we will bring peace to the world..." he continues and his father stares at him in shock.
The king shakes his head in resignation, "I wanted to find someone for my son, but he found an obsession." He turns and leaves the prince's room, "I'll have to find a way to get into contact with Azuria and approach them about the marriage alliance." The king dispatches his shadows to locate Azuria so he can dispatch an emissary to make the proposal.
