"Yuriel could you put me down now? I think I'm feeling better."
They have been walking for a while, in the fog of the grotesque ground, the stench of the spider blood still lingers on their body.
Yuriel puts Kim down, his foot touch the squishy flesh as it was like something was sinking him like quicksand. He move his foot away and steps onto a different area.
Yuriel walked to the wall of the flesh and sat down, rubbing her backs against it, it make a yucky squirm noise.
"Kim I'm tired. I'm going to rest here a bit."
"Yea, sure!"
Kim says as he looked around, his head slowly turned toward Yuriel.
"Now that I think about it, I don't know nothing about her. Even after a few days of being stuck with her, maybe the reason was that she litterally beat up me and my friend… but overall. She's not bad, nice even."
Kim slowly walked up to her and sat right next to her, Yuriel was a bit surprised that Kim choose to sit right next to her.
"Uhm, I know I didn't asks earlier but could you tell me something about yourself?"
Kim asks, Yuriel looks at him puzzled. She gaze out at the darkness with twinkle in her eyes. Looking back at Kim, she asks,
"Why the sudden interest? Don't you remember that I beat you and your friend?"
"Well I mean you did do that but only because you believe we were in a cult that was killing people but. After being stuck with you, you're not so bad."
Yuriel giggles a bit before cracking a smile.
"You made it sound like being with me is a punishment."
"No, I didn't mean it like that."
"I know. I was just messing with you but you wanna know something about me huh?"
Kim nods his head, he straightens up his back and rest his arms on his laps. He stays in that position waiting for Yuriel to tell her story.
"Woah, you're actually serious. Well if you insist, my story isn't that exciting but as a child. I saw my whole family get burned alive by a huge red crimson dragon, there was sharp spikes on his back, so sharp that it could impale someone just by them falling into it."
Kim eyes widen, his expression was a poker face. He stares at Yuriel in shock, the fact that she saying this with a smile somewhat scare Kim.
"Uhm, I'm sorry for your loss."
"Thank you but you don't need to apologize, but back to my story. I opened the door as I went out to grabs some flower to give to my mom but when I came back the dragon crush my home, it was no longer a house but just rubbish, my childhood rubbish. I stared at him and he stared at me with his intense green eyes, his eye liner was sharp, he looks mad and agitated. He roars at me and begin charging at me but then…"
Yuriel stop for a moment, she yawn and raise up her right arm, stretching it. She did the same with her left before proceeding to speak.
"Two other dragons showed up, one was green and the other one was yellow. The green dragon slammed into the red dragon pushing him away. I could only stood there in fear as I watch these two colossal creatures clash with eachother. The red dragon was slightly overwhelming the green dragon but the yellow dragon secretly snuck onto the red dragon and attacked him with their nails. The red dragon let out a atrocious scream, paralyzing the two dragon and breathing fire at them before flying away. Just as the two dragon spread their wings and chased down the red dragon, they saw poor ol' me. Frozen in fear, still shocked that my family died, they looks around the see the pile of rubbles of my remaining house. What I believe was out out pity, they reach out theirs hands toward me. I of course was hesitant at first but I decided to reach out for it. There they took me in as one of their child and raise me as someone I am today. See my story wasn't that interesting."
Kim slowly got up from his spot with a sad expression, his face gradually soften by the second.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know-"
Yuriel got up and put her finger on his lips.
"Ah, don't say a word. Like I say, you don't have to apologize it's all in the past anyway, my life is good either way."
She sat back down, resting her head against the flabby wall, she close her eyes before Kim could let out another words.
"Good night Kim, I'm going to take a quick nap."
Her body slump against the wall as she snores. Kim remains quiet before thanking Yuriel for telling something about herself.
"Now it's my turn to talk about myself… after she wakes up."
He chuckled before looking around, he walked foward into the darkness. There he saw a light, flickering on and off. When he get close to it, he saw residents walking around a the street. Kim have managed to find a demon town.
…
Kim put his hand on Yuriel shoulder, slightly rocking her body. He call out her name.
"Yuriel. Yuriel! You're finally awake!"
Yuriel rubbed her eyes while yawning, lifted her right arm to stretch then switch with her left. She got up and stretched her legs lightly. Shaking her head slightly, she look at Kim.
"Kim…? *Yawn* why did you wake me up?"
Kim grabs Yuriel hand and drag her in a random direction. The sudden act from Kim awoken Yuriel fully.
"Woah-Kim where are we going?"
"I'd found a village where you could get patch up!" He said, he was speed walking and Yuriel could barely follow his movement as her mana depleted. One of the fiery patches that Yuriel block the hole with disappeared.
This causes Yuriel to groan in pain and stop in her track, Kim stop and turned his head toward her.
"You okay Yuriel?"
Yuriel nods before giving Kim a thumb up.
"Yea, I'm fine. I just need to rest up a bit."
Kim face gradually faint a little, his eye apologetic. Kim felt a little guilt running down his spine.
"If only he haven't drag Yuriel with him" he thought. Looking at Yuriel that was in pain, he turned around and kneel down.
Yuriel look at him with wonder. Kim look over his shoulder and placed his hands behind his back.
"Yuriel, let me give you a piggyback ride. This way, it be faster and where you don't have to waste any energy."
"Though, I wouldn't say any faster… I am insanely weak…" he thought.
Yuriel look at Kim as if he went crazy.
"Didn't you try this early but failed?"
Kim rolled his eye not in annoyance but shame.
"I mean, at least I tried…" he murmur.
He then got up and tell Yuriel that this time will be different and the last one was because his body was in so much pain.
Yuriel reluctantly agree and warp one of her arm around Kim while with her other arm, she is blocking the hole near her stomach, though most of the blood was block, some leaks out a little.
Kim managed to take a couple of steps before his body worn out. His legs was getting stronger and thicker but overall his upper body was still weak, he couldn't held onto Yuriel for a long amount of time.
"Huff… I'm sorry for being weak, I just noticed how super extremely weak I am right about now." Kim said, putting Yuriel down to the ground and holding onto his knees.
Yuriel let out a giggles, the man resting in front of her was funny, full of shame but yet it don't bring him down. Atleast that's what she think.
"Sorry Yuriel, I found a village but the path is long. After rushing you, I make your injury worse and I'm too weak to carry-"
Yuriel kept a gentle smile on her face, walking up to Kim while putting her right arm on her wound. With her left arm, she taps on Kim shoulder.
"Why don't we take this nice and slow, we'll just walk there."
"What if we don't make it in time?"
Kim asks with a concern tone in his voice, his eyes filled with guilt.
"I'll be okay and while we walk, you could tell me something about you."
"Something about me?"
Kim stares at Yuriel, looking at her smile makes Kim blush a little.
"Yeah, I wanna know something about you but before we talk, could you lead the way?"
Kim nods and went ahead of the path, Yuriel followed up behind him waiting for him to tell some stuff about himself.
