I jumped to my feet, heart racing, and ran straight home. I had to tell my wife. Nama—my heart, my life. She's always trusted me. I've never lied to her. She believed me instantly.
The next day, I told the people of Zahar what happened.
Most laughed at me.
Some mocked me, saying I had gone crazy.
But a few… the ones I had saved before… they believed. They had seen the truth in my eyes.
Then, the day came.
Nama was about to give birth.
I saw Narine and some of the widows I had rescued helping her. They wrapped her in cloth, helped her breathe, helped her push. I stood outside the house, hands shaking.
And that's when I noticed something…
The sun and moon were both shining—together. The trees, which had lost their leaves, started to bloom, even though it wasn't their season.
It was like nature itself was rejoicing.
Then I heard it.
The cry.
My son's first cry.
I ran inside. I saw my wife holding him, tired but smiling. She looked at me with warm eyes and said,
"Jared… what should we name him?"
I looked into his eyes. So bright. So full of light. So innocent.
His tiny hands moved like they were reaching for the sky.
I whispered, "His name is Enoch."
And in that moment…
I knew.
The light had returned to the world. A new guide had been born.
[P.O.V END]
As time passed, more and more people started to believe.
Yeah… Jared was right all along.
Enoch really was the prophet of the Creator.
Wherever Enoch walked, anyone who was hurt got healed right away.
He could understand animals too—and animals? They loved him. They followed him everywhere like he was their friend.
Then one day, a blind child came to him. The boy wasn't born blind.
No… the people of Zahar did that to him.
They blinded him because he refused their ways—their gold, their pleasure, their slavery, and their sick love for sin. They punished him for standing against their evil.
But when Enoch placed his small hand over the boy's eyes…
the boy could see again.
Just like that. A miracle.
People watched in silence… and their hearts knew—this child is the real deal.
And he was only three years old.
Later, in the village of Noura, Jared and Nama held a meeting with the people. Everyone sat together, worried but hopeful.
One of the women Jared had once saved stood up and said,
"Jared… it's true. Your son is a prophet. But we have to hide him—at least until he's older. The people of Zahar… they won't leave him alive."
Jared looked around, then said,
"You're right… but also wrong.
Yes, the people of Zahar are dangerous.
But my son—he's not alone.
He's protected by the Creator of everything.
Nothing will happen to him unless the Creator allows it."
Then he paused and added,
"But I understand. What you're saying makes sense.
Maybe… we should hide him.
Just for five years. Let him live a normal life.
What do you all think?"
The villagers nodded. Even Nama agreed.
Why wouldn't she? She's a mother. She wants her child to laugh, play, and feel free before carrying the heavy weight of the world.
Because she knew… one day, her son would carry a burden bigger than any child should.
Time passed. Enoch started to grow.
But he was different. Very different.
He learned fast. Too fast. As if… as if he already knew everything.
When people looked into his eyes, they saw wisdom—like he'd lived a thousand lifetimes. He often looked up at the sky, like he was searching for something… or someone.
Sometimes he helped Jared with farming, watering crops, feeding animals—just being a normal kid.
But… then there were miracles.
He once healed a woman's entire arm—rebuilt it, piece by piece.
Her arm had been cut off by her own brother-in-law.
Why? Because she refused to give up her late husband's land—the land Zahar's men tried to steal.
They punished her for saying no.
But Enoch… he restored her completely.
People watched in awe. Even the wind stood still.
Then, when Enoch turned eight…
He was playing with the village kids, but soon got bored.
That's when he heard something—a cry—coming from the forest.
He could understand the voice. It was an animal. A wild one.
Without hesitation, Enoch ran into the woods.
There, in a clearing, stood a lion.
A huge lion. Its teeth were sharp, blood dripping from its side.
The lion growled at first, ready to strike… but Enoch didn't flinch.
He walked up slowly and patted its mane.
At first, the lion growled louder… but then, it stopped.
It looked into Enoch's eyes… and calmed down.
A light wrapped around the lion, and the wounds vanished.
The lion blinked, shocked—even confused.
Then, as if understanding something deep…
the lion bowed to Enoch.
He didn't growl. He didn't roar.
He just bowed—and walked away.
"Good job," said a voice from behind.
Enoch turned around.
Floating above the ground was a glowing being, about a quarter his size, wings flapping gently.
"Wh-who are you?" Enoch asked.
"No need to fear me," the being said. "I'm Uriel.
One of the Creator's angels. I've been watching you.
I'll teach you now."
Uriel smiled.
"You've already unlocked part of your divine gifts, but now… listen closely."
Suddenly, Enoch heard a voice—not with his ears, but inside his mind.

Then, a light surrounded Enoch.
His eyes widened. He could feel everything.
The trees… the air… the heartbeat of the earth…
And in that moment, he knew his role.
He finally understood…
Why he was born.
