"Admiral, these monsters are coming towards us," a crew member reported.
"Maintain formation and prepare for engagement," Harrington commanded.
As the aircraft soared overhead, the pilots reported back, relaying information about the monsters' movements and behaviour. The Devil Whales were aggressive, lunging toward the ships with alarming speed, their massive bodies creating waves that rocked the vessels.
"Admiral, they're closing in!" Mitchell warned, her eyes fixed on the monitors. "We need to engage before they reach striking distance."
"All right, initiate defensive measures!" Harrington ordered. "Fire at will!"
The fleet erupted into action as guns and missile systems were activated.
