Chapter 387 - Naruto: I am Uchiha Shirou [387]

"Rin isn't what you think, it's them! It's all of them. I just want to create a world with you in it…"

On the battlefield of the Ninja World, Uchiha Obito, the second person in the world to possess the power of the Sage of Six Paths, was now acting like a pathetic simp, leaving countless people staring in shock.

Someone like him make it this far?

In the distance, upon witnessing this scene, Madara's expression became visibly ugly. At that moment, Black Zetsu poked his face out of the soil beneath Madara's feet.

"Heh heh, Lord Madara, seems this is the pawn you selected."

As a pawn to disrupt the ninja world, even Black Zetsu, who has watched the world for a thousand years, was left speechless by this display, his contempt for Obito growing deeper.

If this woman had been Obito's lover or girlfriend, he wouldn't have disdained him so much.

But Obito was just a one-sided obsessive idiot, driven to madness.

After hearing Black Zetsu's mockery, Madara snorted in displeasure.

"Useless. That's why people like him are only good for being pawns."

Both Madara and Black Zetsu looked down on Obito; one held lofty ideals of peace, and the other only sought to save his mother.

One stood for ideals, the other for purpose.

And what was Obito?

At that moment, the Six Paths Obito was putting on the greatest simp show in history for the entire ninja world.

"Obito!"

Watching the crazed Obito, the reincarnated Rin Nohara showed a look of disbelief.

"How could you end up like this!"

Rin's unfamiliar expression of disbelief made Obito's face twitch even more.

"Rin, everything I did was for you…"

However, after learning the whole story, Rin's face was filled with anger and deep disappointment.

"Obito, you let me down."

That one sentence from Rin hit Obito harder than the power of the Six Paths, his eyes widening as if he misheard her.

But Rin took a deep breath, first bowing respectfully to the current Hokage of Konoha, Uchiha Shirou, and then looking back at Obito.

"Thank you for your feelings, but the Obito I knew was someone who loved the village, a hero who bravely sacrificed himself to protect his comrades on the battlefield. But you!"

Rin's eyes were filled with disappointment and an emotion she couldn't describe.

"Obito, how could you treat the village and the clan like this? Did you forget? When you only had your grandmother left, it was the Uchiha clan who took care of you!

Even after your grandmother passed, the clan helped bury her, and everyone in the village helped you. So why would you turn on the village? Tell me, what did the village or anyone do to hurt you?"

"How did you become like this? You even attacked everyone, even your teacher's child, and you caused the Night of the Nine-Tails. Obito, what were you thinking?"

Facing Rin's disappointed questioning, Obito's eyes darted around in panic—he was completely flustered, and Rin's words made his mind go blank.

"I! I didn't! Rin, you have to believe me, I did all of this for you! I…"

Obito became incoherent. What did Konoha ever do to hurt him to justify this cold and heartless revenge?

In his panic, Obito kept searching for excuses but found none.

What did the village do to him?

Even after Rin's death, he could have defected from Konoha, but to attack it? He had never felt any guilt, as he saw the entire ninja world as unimportant.

But now, Rin's gaze made Obito completely lose his nerve.

"Rin! I did it all for you!"

But his voice was wavering.

You'd betray the village just for Rin? Was it Rin who asked you to do this?

"You're even worse than trash."

Looking at Obito, Shirou sneered. Facing such a pathetic person, he couldn't even feel excited about the battle.

"I recall, Rin, back when you were a chunin, you were only teammates with this trash, right? Did you ever agree to be in a relationship with him?"

Shirou shot a taunting glance at Obito, asking Rin beside him.

This sentence utterly panicked Obito terrified that Rin would reveal his biggest embarrassment.

"Rin! Don't—"

"No!"

Before Obito could finish, Rin shook her head in disappointment and spoke the harsh truth.

"Hokage-sama, back then Obito and I were just teammates in Minato-sensei's squad. We were only comrades; I could never fall for someone like him!"

Her eyes were filled with determination.

This was a basic moral principle as a Konoha ninja!

Obito's actions now made her feel deep disgust, and she denied any relationship with him.

If, at first, she may have had a bit of a crush on him after he saved her, after learning what he'd done, all she felt was revulsion.

"No! Rin!"

Obito's eyes were bloodshot. He had never felt such pain from the world's rejection or even from being beaten.

But just one sentence from Rin made blood pour from his eyes.

Watching this, Shirou only smirked in mockery.

"So, your so-called ambition and dreams were just pathetic self-delusions after all."

Obito knew about the forbidden Edo Tensei technique—he could even use it.

Otherwise, how could Madara's resurrection plan have worked?

So, with Edo Tensei, why didn't he just use Nagato to bring Rin back in secret? Instead, after stealing Nagato's Rinnegan, he carried out his plan.

Sure, you could argue Nagato wasn't easy to control.

But compared to Infinite Tsukuyomi, this was much simpler.

Edo Tensei Rin, then use the Rinnegan to revive her—wasn't that much more real than the Infinite Tsukuyomi?

Looking at Obito's entire life, he was just someone running away from reality in despair, wanting to live in a fake world of genjutsu, with his imagined perfect Rin and everyone he wanted.

So, from start to finish, his desire to create a world with Rin was nothing but the ultimate fantasy of a deluded simp.

"Uchiha Shirou!"

Having his ugly heart exposed, Obito roared at Shirou in anger.

Why! Why destroy everything he had!

Seeing Obito like a mad dog, Rin could only shake her head in disappointment.

"Obito! You're a stranger to me now, how could you become so twisted!"

She truly couldn't understand how Obito became like this. Was it persecution by his clan or the village? Clearly not.

In a thousand years of ninja history, only Obito ever became a monster like this.

"How many heroes did you once admire in the village, each sacrificing for the village? Their wives and children inherited their will, but what about you?"

She didn't understand the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but given Obito's past obsession, if he still clung to her after death, she'd only sigh.

But what he did to the village—she just couldn't understand.

Shirou watched the defeated, pitiful Obito and mocked:

"Maybe this is the real you. Once the mask is off, you're just selfish. If you abandoned the village for love, I could at least say you weren't responsible.

There are lots of people like that. But to become twisted and seek revenge, attacking your teacher, and his wife, and unleashing the Nine-Tails on the village?

What is that? Maybe we all misjudged Obito—deep down, he's just a selfish, ugly beast."

Shirou's cold voice echoed for the whole ninja world, tearing off Obito's disgusting mask, and exposing him completely.

"Shut up! What do you know? What do you all know? What right do you have to judge me?!"

Obito roared in madness, eyes filled with killing intent as he stared at Shirou.

"We certainly can't understand your kind. When your parents died, you didn't awaken your Sharingan—fine, you were young. But what about your grandmother? You weren't that young. Yet you only grieved for a few days."

"But when Rin died, you sure were devoted—your two-tomoe Sharingan evolved right to Mangekyo. That's unique in Uchiha history."

"Call you a beast, and you can awaken the Mangekyo. But if you're not a beast, look at everything you've done—even calling you a beast is unfair. You're lower than a dog."

"Uchiha Shirou!"

Being insulted in front of Rin, Obito exploded with rage, shouting at the top of his lungs.

"Obito!"

Before he could attack, Rin called out to him again, her voice heavy with loss.

"Come back. The Obito I knew was kind and full of love."

Her words were a heavy blow. Obito staggered back, his face ashen, staring at Rin in disbelief.

He abandoned everything for Rin, cut off all ties, only to end up with this?

Blood streamed from his eyes as he howled in rage: "No! You're not Rin! My Rin would never say that, never!"

"I'll create a world with Rin in it—not you! The real Rin would never treat me this way!"

Obito was on the verge of a mental breakdown, screaming madly.

"Look at this raving mad dog—he's got a real mental problem."

Pointing at his head, Shirou sneered: "When Rin died, it didn't have much to do with you, did it? At most, you were just teammates. When did she ever become 'your' Rin?"

"You are delusional, Obito. I remember Rin liked Kakashi in your class, right? Since when did you start daydreaming?"

Shirou's words echoed like a nightmare, Obito's eyes bloodshot with agony as he howled.

Rin didn't like him! She liked Kakashi! So, what was he? What was he?

These words echoed in his mind, tearing apart all his years of persistence, denying everything he believed.

"No! My Rin isn't like this! She isn't!"

Suddenly, in a frenzy, Obito screamed: "I'll create a world with Rin in it! You're fake! My Rin would never treat me this way—you're all fake!"

Howling!

Obito's mind descended into chaos. His ability to perfectly control the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki form was fueled by his twisted love for Rin.

It was this will that let him suppress the Ten-Tails, but now, as his mind unraveled, the Ten-Tails' will began to clash with his own.

"Uchiha Shirou! I'll kill you!"

On the verge of collapse, Obito roared, blaming everything on Shirou. If not for him, his plan would have succeeded.

"Careful, Lord Shirou!"

Boom!

With a loud explosion, Obito was sent flying into the earth far away, shocking everyone.

Madara, watching, narrowed his eyes and muttered:

"Stalling for time, huh? Earlier, that Uchiha girl channeled nearly half the world's chakra into his body, and now that youth's chakra is rapidly depleting—or changing his body, perhaps!"

With Rinnegan's superior perception, Madara saw Shirou's immense chakra weakening.

But his aura only grew stronger as the foreign chakra was absorbed and became his strength.

Shirou radiated a terrifying presence, his Rinnegan Mangekyo spinning, while the Sage markings on his cheeks slowly faded.

In truth, his body was undergoing a transformation, his control becoming even stronger.

"No! I won't lose! I'm the ninja world's second Sage of Six Paths…"

Obito roared, but before he could finish, Shirou appeared before him and punched him hard in the face.

The battlefield echoed with violent attacks as Obito, enraged, fought back madly.

But his mind was already lost, like a crazed beast against the calm and composed Shirou.

Watching, Madara was speechless; he even felt embarrassed for choosing someone like Obito.

"Heh, Lord Madara, your pawn sure is a letdown," Black Zetsu said with a raspy laugh, full of contempt for Obito.

Madara had wanted to see the true power of the Sage of Six Paths, but Obito's small-mindedness left him utterly disappointed.

Under the onslaught, Obito was nothing more than a punching bag for Shirou.

With ultimate speed and pure physical power, Shirou was exhilarated, feeling the blood in his veins boil.

"You're all fake—why can't I just create a perfect world?"

"Rin! I will create the perfect world with you in it!"

As his will completely collapsed, Obito's eyes turned blood-red with madness. He roared, sending a Truth-Seeking Orb hurtling at Shirou.

With a boom, the orb struck a rock, but Shirou's figure disappeared instantly.

"What!"

Obito screamed, "Space-Time Ninjutsu!"

Shirou's figure appeared behind Obito, his body crackling with lightning.

"Did you forget I know Flying Thunder God?"

Sage Art: Lightning Release: Chidori!

Lightning flashed as Obito's Truth-Seeking Orb formed a semi-circular shield, meeting Shirou's Lightning Style head-on.

Boom!

"Uchiha Shirou! I'll kill you! You destroyed my world, destroyed my Rin! I'll kill you all!"

Obito, his will shattered, went completely insane, barely able to restrain the Ten-Tails inside.

He soared into the sky, two Sage Fire Chakra orbs swelling rapidly, and a terrifying scarlet Rinnegan with tomoe emerged from his back.

The world trembled. From afar, Madara frowned, muttering, "So he's starting Infinite Tsukuyomi, huh? Obito is a wild beast that can't be tamed."

"But I still want to see what happens to a Ten-Tails Jinchuriki."

Madara was in no rush, calmly watching to see how far Obito could go.

Hidden in the shadows, Black Zetsu stared intently at Obito. "He's lost control, and Uchiha Shirou is still hiding his true power. We can't wait any longer, Mother!"
