"It might sound ridiculous," Old Jack replied,
"but the Eyes of Manous determine the very hierarchy of a world. It's of great importance."
"The True World of us Fallens is ranked First Grade."
" We might even be stronger than some Upper Realm worlds, but we exist below that invisible line—so we can never truly claim to be an Upper World."
"We'll always be counted as part of the Lower Realms," he explained.

"And I'm guessing that, in the True World, you're from a rather high-ranking family?"
