"Brother-in-law!"
Before they got home, Ruirui came running up, arms wide open, and tried to embrace Chen Jie with playful gestures.
Chen Jie laughed and said to Ruirui, "Did you miss your brother-in-law?"
"I did!"
"Are you for real, not lying to brother-in-law, right?"
"Only a little dog lies!"
Ruirui confidently declared.
"Hmm, I believe you."
Chen Jie said with a smile. Looking up, he saw Su Yunjin standing there at the doorway, just finished her work with her hair slightly disheveled, sweat glistening on her forehead. He raised a hand to wipe her sweat.
"Husband, you're back."
She softly spoke to her husband.
Chen Jie smiled and said, "Hmm."
"Why did you buy so much stuff again?"
"Went to town, saw the things we need at home and bought some."
As the three talked, they entered the house and started to carry the items inside. Chen Jie noticed Su Yunjin was soaked with sweat, and asked, "You worked at home?"
