The first native inhabitant they found was a Short-tailed Monkey.
There was no sight of its troop around the monkey, but it didn't have the look of a solitary monkey expelled from its troop.
Chen Ying took out an apple from his bag and handed it to the monkey, then asked for the information he wanted to know.

The Short-tailed Monkey took two bites of the apple, then showed a surprised expression.

Its eyes slided around, "I'll take you there, just give me more of that delicious fruit."
