A gigantic punch made of tree is aimed at Alex, but he blocks it with a sand wall that only cracks even though the punch is really strong. Azuma who sends the giant tree punch is surprised that his attack can't break the sand wall.
Then suddenly, someone jumps over the sand wall. Ikaruga uses Azuma's giant tree punch to approach Alex and then she jumps over the sand wall. She raises her really long sword high and slashes it down at Alex.
But then she widens her eyes when Alex's Shukaku tail blocks her sword. Alex swings his extended tail and whips it at Ikaruga to block her sword. The clash creates a strong impact, but he manages to throw Ikaruga away because his attack is stronger.
Right before he pushes Ikaruga back, 2 more people are attacking him from 2 sides. The fat guy Kain and the owl head Fukuro flank him from left and right. Kain's body transforms into iron while Fukuro is flying with the jetpacks on his back.
Both of them have their fists glow golden bright as they approach Alex. Then they punch their fists forward a few meters away from Alex. Kain's punch creates a light beam while Fukuro's punch is sending a very fast flying light punch.
Fukuro's light punch is especially fast, but it's easily blocked by a sand wall that suddenly erects near Alex. Kain's punch is also blocked by another sand wall and both their attacks only manage to crack the sand wall that's not even as thick as the one that blocked Azuma's tree punch.
Alex hasn't even lifted his hands from the ground since he transformed into Shukaku. Well, he doesn't lift his hands from the ground so that he can control the sand in the ground much more easily and that's why he doesn't move from his spot.
A very sharp and thick sand spike suddenly emerges from the ground in front of Kain and Fukuro each. The sharp sand spikes try to pierce them, but Kain manages to block it with his iron arm while Fukuro manages to get away.
The ones who still spectate from the back get surprised when Alex's Shukaku tail suddenly grows much longer and charges toward them like a snake. It destroys the trees on its path and manages to hit some of them.
They block the tail, but they still get thrown back by the strong tail attack. None of them is injured by this attack, but they are still surprised that Alex can use various attacks without moving an inch.
"He can extend his tail thia much? How?" Zancrow almost got hit by the tail attack, but Azuma pulled him back.
"Did you forget what Brain said? This beast's whole body is made of sand. He can manipulate his body size as he pleases as long as there's sand around him." Azuma sighs while shaking his head.
"What?! Then does that mean he can make himself gigantic?" Zancrow is surprised.
"Seems so. But there's no information about him ever doing that. Most likely because he never needed to."
"Or it's harder to control if he makes his body too big. The bigger he becomes, the more sand he uses, so the more magic power he uses too." Bluenote moves forward while extending his arms forward.
He releases a lot of magic power that makes the other Dark Mages flinch. They immediately move back and right after that, the Gravity around Bluenote increases significantly.
Bluenote is targeting Alex, so the center of this increased gravity is Alex. But he is also in the range because it's easier to control if he is also inside his magic range. He is not affected by his own magic anyway, so he doesn't need to worry about being unable to move.
The same can't be said for his comrades, that's why they pull back. They see the ground that's already sunken from Bluenote's previous attack sinks even deeper, showing that he uses a much stronger gravity now.
It's so strong that the trees are breaking apart because the trunks and branches can't withstand the multiplied gravity. Alex's previous sand walls are also crumbling. The area is leveled in a very short time because of the strong gravity.
Alex feels his body becomes incredibly heavy, but he can resist it with his strong magic power and highly trained physique. Being Shukaku who has Magnet Release also helps him resist this Gravity a lot, so the effect he feels is quite low.
'The trees are falling apart and the fallen woods are also breaking apart. I don't remember everything, but I don't think he was this strong around this time in the series. Either it's because I can't remember the details or his power can't just be shown by the animations in the show.'
To check the power of Bluenote's gravity, Alex tries to shoot a sand spike from the ground beneath Bluenote. But the sand spike actually crumbles before reaching Bluenote. While Alex doesn't use much power for that, it's still surprising to see his attack get destroyed that easily.
Alex is suspecting that the current Bluenote is stronger than when he's shown in the series, although he isn't very sure either. Still, it doesn't change the fact that this Bluenote is a strong opponent, stronger than most of the opponents he has ever faced.
"Stronger than most of my opponents, but surely not the strongest I've ever faced."
Suddenly, a rather big hole appears under Bluenote's feet. It appears so suddenly that Bluenote can't react to it and falls into the hole. Unfortunately, because he also increases the gravity around himself, his fall becomes accelerated.
The surprise of suddenly falling into the deep hole makes Bluenote's Gravity Magic disappear from the area. Alex smirks before controlling the ground again which he can do very quickly because his hands are still touching the ground.
He closes the whole hole instantly by slamming the ground from 2 sides. So the falling Bluenote must be crushed by the slammed earth walls. Even if it doesn't kill him, Bluenote should still be injured at the very least.
"Seems like the Island is hungry today. I wonder if 2 muscular dudes are enough to satisfy its appetite. Well, there are still more of you, so I don't really need to worry." Alex smirks while looking at his enemies.
"DAMN! DON'T LOOK DOWN ON US! FIRE GOD BELLOW!"
Zancrow shoots a big black flame blast from his mouth. All God Slayer Magic is colored black, so his flame also becomes black. It's a powerful attack, but Alex's sand wall blocks it without taking any serious damage.
"In the end, you are still at Natsu's level now." Alex smirks while removing the sand wall.
Suddenly, a Shukaku arm comes out of the ground beneath Zancrow. It emerges very quickly and punches Zancrow's stomach very strongly, sending Zancrow flying to a big tree behind until it breaks.
Zancrow coughs up blood when he's punched and the crash onto the tree also damages his back. Just a punch is enough to bring Zancrow to his knees and make him feel like he'll pass out any moment.
Seeing Alex can make such an unexpected and fast attack, Hades immediately orders his men to attack Alex with all they have. Then he whispers something to the Rocker-Man, Vidaldus who grins sinisterly while nodding after hearing it.
Hades then starts shooting big dark purple balls from the magic circles on his palms. Jose also does the same using dark balls made of phantoms. Kain sends light bullets while still staying in his iron body form.
Fukuro punches rapidly with his glowing fists, creating flying light punches that fly very fast. Ikaruga swings her sword, creating flying slashes that also fly to Alex. Zancrow wakes up and also shoots numerous black fireballs.
Numerous magic attacks are flying toward Alex from all sides. But he calmly makes a thick sand dome to block all of them. They bombard the sand dome and the rapid attack eventually breaks many parts on the sand dome.
But Alex quickly repairs it with sand before any of the attacks pass through the holes. Their attacks are great, but Alex's defense is even greater. He is transforming into Shukaku, after all, the one who's known for his Absolute Defense.
But the sand wall can't block sound and Alex suddenly hears a very loud guitar sound. Vidaldus is playing his guitar loudly which sounds even louder for Alex's sensitive ears. As soon as he hears the guitar, Alex suddenly feels a headache.
"Sound Magic?"
Vidaldus is now using Sound Magic to control Alex. But his Sound Magic is not powerful enough to take control of a Mage at Alex's caliber. Even so, it's enough to give Alex a headache, making him lose his concentration and control of his magic.
Alex can't repair his sand wall anymore and the numerous attacks are raining on him. Big explosions happen as they hit his body from all sides. The Dark Mages grin as they send more powerful attacks at Alex.
When they finish their flying attacks, Azuma makes his move too. He has grown thick tree roots below Alex. The thick tree roots that gathered underground are filled with a lot of magic power.
Azuma then makes them explode, creating a very big fire pillar that engulfs Alex after being rained down by numerous magic attacks. But as if all these attacks aren't enough, they have prepared another big attack.
A massive tower suddenly appears midair above Alex right when the explosion pillar disappears. Alex can't be seen with all the smoke and dust there, but all of them can sense that he is inside the big hole that was created by the explosion just now.
The massive and tall tower then falls into the big hole, burying Alex under it. Then the Dark Mages retreat right to avoid the powerful explosion of the tower. The tower is like a bomb instead of a building because it can explode like this.
"Heh, that should take him down." Rustyrose who created that tower using his Arc of Embodiment comes out of the forest. Just like him, all of them are confident that Alex should've been taken down by those powerful attacks.
