"Hnggh, Dan, stop. We have classes later."
Shinobu grumbled as she felt a small and wet tongue lick her cheek. Suddenly, she opened her eyes- this tongue is too soft. This isn't Dan!
Right in front of her face, a gray-colored chinchilla stared at her, its deep brown eyes full of curiosity.
Shinobu pulled the quilt to cover her naked body. As she was doing so, however, she realized that there was a nightgown loosely worn around her. And looking around, all their traces of activity last night were nowhere to be found.
Shinobu scrunched her eyebrows, her sleepiness disappearing as she tried to comprehend what was going on. Why were things so different from what she remembered? And why is there a Minccino on the bed?
…wait, Minccino?
At this time, the person who could answer all her questions appeared at the doorstep, his hands carrying a large tray of food.
"Sleeping beauty, you've finally awakened! Please, allow this humble knight the honor of presenting this dish for your esteemed grace."
"Stop with the jokes, Dan. What's going on?"
Shinobu had a rare frown as she asked.
"Hmm, long story short, the Pokemon Eggs hatched."
"And you didn't wake me up?!"
Shinobu sat up from the bed, her expression turning gloomier. She reached out her hand to hug the confused-looking Minccino, all the while glaring daggers at Dante.
"Now babe, before you get angry, let me just say that I tried my damned hardest to wake you. Look, I even changed your clothes and all, but you really didn't respond."
Dante replied as he walked over to place the tray next to the bed.
When Shinobu got the Egg from the Ranger Base, Dante had suggested she store them in the Space Bag together with his. Initially, she refused, planning to just carry it around with her. But after some persuasion, she finally agreed, only reminding Dante several times to call her when the Egg starts to move or crack.
Back then, Dante agreed, knowing full well he wouldn't be able to fulfill this promise. He would leave the Eggs in the PMD world, after all.
His initially prepared excuse had been to tell her he slept through the hatching process, but with the circumstances last night, it became Shinobu who slept through it instead.
He dressed her up and cleaned the room to add more credibility in his words. With his strength, he easily lifted her up the bed and dressed her without waking her up. Then, he carried Mualani back to her room to prevent her from waking Shinobu.
Shinobu touched the night gown, her expression becoming conflicted and she sighed.
"I'm sorry, Dan. I know you wouldn't deliberately fail to keep your promise. I-I was just…disappointed, not being able to see Mincccino's birth."
Shinobu picked up Minccino, the frown on her face shifting into a soft smile as she stared at this cute and docile Pokemon.
"Hello, Minccino. I'm Shinobu. Although it's a pity I wasn't able to welcome you into this world, let's enjoy the rest of life together."
"Minccino!"
Minccino smiled back at Shinobu, her large ears flapping in the air.
Seeing this scene, Dante heaved a sigh of relief. The guilt he felt for deceiving his girlfriend became a tad lower. Although he did it mostly for her sake, he still felt scummy for knowingly making and breaking a promise.
Right at this time, the two Pokemon who had been hiding behind him poked their heads out and stared curiously at Shinobu.
"Alolan Vulpix and…Eevee? Did your Egg also hatch? But where did the extra Eevee come from?"
Shinobu raised a questioning eyebrow at Dante.
"Hehe, I got lucky. As it turns out, the Egg I chose contained two different babies."
Dante said as he lifted both baby Pokemon into his arms, causing them to start giggling.
"You and your bullshit luck."
Shinobu muttered, before crawling and sitting on the edge of the bed. She ate the food made by Dante while playing with the three baby Pokemon.
There was still 2 hours before the start of their first period class. Normally, she would have been jogging and training at this hour. However, since she just got her second Pokemon, Shinobu planned to take it slow today.
As they got out of bed and into the living room, they met Mualani, who just returned from her jogging and swimming session. They talked a little about last night before the three prepared themselves and headed together to the Trainer building.

"They're so cute!!!"
At lunch break, the three baby Pokemon were surrounded by all the girls. Even Clorinde, who almost always had a stoic expression, had her eyes attracted.
"Hnggh! Why didn't they both turn into Vulpix~"
Candice whined. When she heard the Alolan Vulpix Egg that Dante chose had hatched into twins, her eyes shone with hope. However, it quickly dimmed after learning it resulted in two different Pokemon.
"Don't be rude. Eevee is just the best!"
Furina chastised as she stroked the brown fox Pokemon in her arms. Cubchoo, who was held by Candice, also looked at his Trainer pitifully. His black eyes shone as if tears were about to come out.
"No! Cubchoo! I love you too!"
Candice quickly cradled him, making funny faces. Soon, Cubchoo began to laugh, making Candice breathe a sigh of relief.
"Pfft! By the way, Dan. What form do you plan for Eevee to evolve in the future?"
Focalors covered her mouth and giggled at the byplay. Then, she turned towards Dante, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. At this time, she was sitting less than an inch away from him.
Although the terms for the agreement were still not finalized, it's only a matter of when, not if. Focalors had even planned on asking Dante out on a date in the following weekends.
"It'll depend on what Eevee herself wants. After all, evolution is a matter of her life. And unlike other Pokemon, she has much more choices regarding her future."
Currently, there are 8 discovered evolutionary forms of Eevee- Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. Although some forms are much stronger than others in battle, generally, all of them had their perks.
And, she also had another path in front of her- to not evolve. Dante could honestly see this happening. After all, she had learned Partner moves, designed to be used only by Partner Pikachu and Partner Eevee who are averse to evolution.
"I see. Indeed. With your ability, I'm sure she will be strong no matter what form she evolves to."
Their group stayed together and continued to chat until lunch break finally ended.

At night, in Focalors and Furina's cottage.
"Sis, how do I look?"
Furina twirled in front of the mirror, her dark-blue dress swaying along with her movement.
"Hmm, it matches you. What's the occasion?"
"It's for next week. We'll have our Ranking Week then. Though unlike yours, our course is required to perform on-stage as part of the opening ceremony."
"What kind of performance?"
Focalors asked, a hint of interest in her voice.
"Any performance that can be shown on-stage. Some classes chose to play music. But for us, we'll perform a short stage play!"
Furina declared and did a playful pirouette.
"I see. What's the story about?"
"Heehee, now that's a secret, my dear sister~ I don't want to spoil the surprise."
Furina turned towards Focalors and gave a mischievous wink.
"If you're this excited, then I look forward to watching it. What role are you playing? I'll cheer extra louder when you appear."
"Er, well…I'm the leading actress."
Focalors sat up from the bed. She looked at her sister with furrowed eyebrows and said in a warning tone.
"Furina. We talked about this. Did your classmates pressure you into accepting the role?"
"No sis, they didn't! I volunteered for it. And it's fine, there's an incentive for the whole class if we win! Besides~ I need to practice once in a while. Else I lose my edge."
Focalors stared at her sister for a moment before silently laying back down on the bed.
Seeing this, Furina heaved a sigh of relief. Her sister can be such a worrywart sometimes. After nodding one final time to the mirror in satisfaction, Furina removed the dress. Her perky butt jiggled as she picked the dress from the floor, humming in her underwear while folding it.
There was another thing Furina didn't tell Focalors, about why she agreed to become the leading actress.
Furina had been thinking, how could she seduce Dante? Unlike her sister and most of their friends, she had less topics to talk about with him. And they only meet during certain times of the day, usually together with their other friends.
Although she had been in showbiz for more than half of her life, she had been well-protected from most of its dark sides due to her Father and her family. Therefore, she doesn't know much about seduction and the like.
Then, she thought of this stage play. If Dante watched her performance, then he would definitely be amazed by her skills and fall for her!... or well, at least admire her. Whatever the case, it would definitely deepen his feelings for her.
