The next session started almost immediately.
Tom didn't waste time. He split them into two teams and set up a tight-possession drill with small goals.
Jerry found himself in a team with David, Jackson, Travis, and Carter. Five-a-side. Full-tilt.
"Keep the ball moving!" Tom shouted.
Jerry passed to Travis, who laid it off to Carter, who immediately turned and clipped it back to Jerry. First touch was decent. Not great. Ball bobbled. Jackson pressed him.
"You good, superstar?" Jackson teased, trying to poke it away.
"Get off," Jerry grunted, shielding it and slipping it to David.
"Man's still dreaming about Dortmund," David joked. "Wake up, Jerry! We're not done yet."
"He's saving his legs for Juve," Travis added.
Jerry just kept his head down and focused. He knew they were messing around. That was how they coped. Everyone was feeling it. But Juventus was serious.
