You know when I transmigrated into this body there was always that one question. What was this body designed for exactly? This question plagues my thoughts. Currently I'm within the colony, sitting on a chair inside of Uzi's room. She's still in sleep mode as she lays on her bed. Currently she's dealing with guilt on how she treated N after the whole ordeal with the Absolute Solver possessing J's mangled corpse. Now why am I in Uzi's room? And how am I in her room? Well the answer is simple, she went through a traumatic event and I just simply walked in. Normally if Uzi was in the right sense of mind she would normally not want anyone in her room. However after what happened she didn't have the energy or care to stop me from staying with her. I don't know why but I have this weird feeling of protectiveness over her. Sort of like an older brother watching over his little sister. I don't know exactly why though. Don't get me wrong, when I was still in my old world I wasn't insensitive to other people. But what I feel isn't a simple sense of sympathy. It's an overwhelming sense of protectiveness. But I digress, why was this body created?
That's when sometime later after Uzi went to sleep mode did I mess with my own head. Trying sift through my own files just to see if maybe my answers lie there. And that's when I discovered an interesting file simply labeled as Maria. I can't help but sigh to myself "Don't tell me I'm an amalgamation of Metal Sonic AND Shadow". I tried to access the file but sadly I couldn't.
[Access Denied]
"It couldn't have been easy could it" I said bitterly. But luckily going through my own head wasn't a total waste as I unlocked this bodies final abilities. I can now fire electricity from my hands. Now while I no longer have any abilities for me to access from my own body luckily I can still scan and replicate and copy the data of others so who knows what other abilities or weaponry I'll have in the future. Though I'm still bothered by that file, but no sense of over worrying about something I have no control over.
As I finished my thoughts Uzi begins to wake up when her monitor flashed with words.
[GUILT: ACTIVE]
As she slams her hand on her screen like snoozing an alarm clock as she lets out a loud groan. Feeling guilty about how she reacted towards her future boyfriend. She looks up at a drawing of herself and N, who she probably received the drawing from as thanks for being his friend. she begins groaning. "How are you feeling" I asked Uzi. She just looks at me with an annoyed but also hurt expression from her guilt. "What do you think" She asked while mumbling. "That bad huh" I asked her. Honestly I wish my voice wasn't so monotone so I can properly expressed my sympathy. She then groans "N, probably the only drone alive who doesn't treat me like a freak, was only trying to help and I basically spat in his face. He probably thinks I hate him now". She sighs sadly "I wish I can just apologize and let him know I didn't hate him but I don't know how when I feel too wallowed in my guilty angsty mind to even look at him" She sighs. "Believe me when I say this Uzi I am sure N most likely just wants to see you. If anything he's probably in the same boat as you. He's probably too scared to approach you thinking he's too dangerous to be around you" I said to her. "That doesn't exactly help, in fact that just makes me feel like a more horrible friend" She says to me sadly. "Listen all I'm trying to say is when you get the chance to talk to him take it. Don't let this simmer when it can be fixed with a simple conversation. After all I'm sure he'll understand that you were overwhelmed and accidentally said things you didn't mean in your time of emotional turmoil" I said to her. She simply nods as she gets ready for her day of school and leaves.
As the day goes on Uzi is constantly lost in her own thoughts as the day goes on that it's comical to watch from a distance. She even barely reacted when a dodge ball hits her on her visor. And finally, at her locker. Rebecca walks by and knocks Uzi off the small stack of books she was standing on to reach her locker door. Before she could hit the ground I caught her as I gently help her stand on her own feet. "Yeah, meeting Brad in an hour" Rebecca said to Trevor. As they were walking off Uzi picks up one of her books and throws it at Rebecca. "Can you imagine going to prom alone" Rebecca asked Trevor as the book missed her and hits Braiden instead. "Ha, I'd be all like, 'I don't deserve happiness.'" Trevor said back to Rebecca. Obviously this was aimed at Uzi, making fun of her social status at school. I simply shake my head in disapproval of those two's action. "Don't listen to them, as far as I know they aren't exactly great themselves in the dating department" I said to Uzi. Uzi sighs, picks up her book, and turns to leave. She stops when some missing persons posters get her attention. She looks over to see a janitor cleaning up an oil spill, then upwards to see a security camera glitching. Cackling, she snags the posters and rushes back home to put them on the ceiling. But to her shock, the papers that were on the ceiling before are now gone. It turns out Khan had taken them and placed them in a closet labeled 'NORI'S KOOKY INSANE STUFF'. As he leaves, he spots Uzi sulking in a corner.
Uzi then turns around and runs up to her dad and yells "Mycrazed ramblings! Stay outta my freaking room!" as her dad stands there surprisingly calm. "Personal space for a very alarming coping mechanisms isn't covered under a-" He stops as he pick up his manual as he continues "non-optional family support structure". At this point I decided to step out of the room as I know what happens next as on my way out I can hear Uzi's voice muffled through the door as she says "I'm sorry for being vulnerable for five seconds, okay!? You were never there for me. If you wanna help now, stay distant". I won't lie I am a bit nervous about leaving her behind since I know Lizzy but most importantly Doll will be there to dress her up for prom. Though I know that Uzi will be fine after she discovers the corpses of Doll's victims and escape from the Vents. But a bigger question is will V still come to the Prom. Originally V was "tricked" by Lizzy to come to the prom over a false friendship. Basically they were tricking each other and neither being tricked. V goes to the prom to kill all the Worker Drones, while Lizzy helped Doll set up a trap to kill V. But now I don't know what will happened. But most likely V will still come to do just that. Just because I brought her with us to fight the Absolute Solver, doesn't mean she bonded with us enough to be swayed by our influence. At best currently she would second guess her actions but still will commit to what she has started.
I stood outside of the colony as I wait for the inevitable meet up with Uzi and N. As I waited suddenly I see both Uzi and N running from opposite directions as they ran into each other for different reasons for their panic. "N/Uzi!!!" "Why are you-/You look-" "How did-/ I uh-" the two future couple yell and stutter at the same time. I chuckle as I watched the oddly cute interaction between these two. "I think something bad-" Uzi says as N quickly says "I could help". But then he walks away looking a bit sad as he mutters "But you probably don't want me...". "No, I could use the help... of you... being there... with me..." Uzi says as she blushes with each word she says. Rushes behind her and puts his hands on her shoulders as he says "Dapper Buddies". She nudges him away, but is still happy to be friends with him again. I clapped my hands together to get their attention. "So can someone explain to me what's going on" I asked even though I already have an idea what that is. "O-oh hey Metal, quick version. V was acting weird when we got back to our base. A-and then I tried to talk to her about what we were. Sometime during our conversation she decapitated me and a little while later I woke up and became dapper N and now I'm here". You know if I didn't know what the original premise of the story was that would have been such a weird and confusing explanation. "Ok, so where is she now" I asked. "She's here, or at least will be here, I overheard Lizzy and Doll of what they're planning. They plan on allowing V into the colony and most likely have her kill everyone" Uzi explains.
After her explanation we decided to crash a party only to see V on the stage as prom Queen before Doll could do anything to kill her. "Ah ha! Unhand them, you fiend-" Uzi started only to realize V wasn't massacring the entire gymnasium. As we look around we could see the confused faces of students looking at them. "I'm confused" Uzi says as she was expecting a similar situation to the first time V and J broke into the colony. That's when Lizzy suddenly looks towards V and yells "On second thought, you're way hotter than Doll! Run, idiot!" Before V could move, Doll unleashes her AbsoluteSolver and makes her arms get stuck. As everyone flees for their lives, Penny is crushed by the AbsoluteSolver. Doll slowly advances towards V as she says "Hello V". Of course this was Doll so she was speaking in Russian. She makes V flashback to when V killed her mother. "Anyway, you get it" She says as V frees her right arm and fires at Doll, but the shots deal no damage. Doll summons her cleaver and flings it at V, severing her arm. Doll then summons a fan blade down. Before anything else could happen I flew at Doll as I grab her arm and flings her off to the side. This caused her to lose focus on the fan blade as I took this opportunity to use my magnetism to pick up the bladed fan and flings it at Doll. Doll quickly catches the bladed fan with her AbsoluteSolver as she breaks it into pieces and throw throws those pieces at me. I simply back handed the pieces away and activated my turbine. The world seems to slow down around me as I went to quickly grab her by the throat to quickly end this. "It's too late" I told her. "Give up now while you still can Doll" I told her hoping she will not fight. However I underestimated the power of the Solver as suddenly it seem her eyes are now able to keep up with my crazy speed. Her body can't react to my speed but her Solver can as she teleports out of my grasp. I saw her on the other side of the room as I charge to grab her again only for her to teleport away from me again. This became frustrating and troublesome. While she can't move as fast as me, however her solver makes up for that speed with her teleportation and giving her the ability to process information fast enough to see me and react fast enough to teleport away. While me and her play cat and mouse Uzi and N started their conversation. "Holy crap, what are they doing!!?" Uzi yells in confusion. "This isn't what I expected at all! I guess we should... Uh..." N says as he conveys that they should help V and I. Uzi groans at the Idea of helping V but knows N is right. Before Doll could teleport away again from me Uzi flings her knife, which damages her AbsoluteSolver. This removes the AbsoluteSolver on the door as well, letting everyone escape. "Uzi, you would really side with the Murder Drones? I'm not the only one who's lost family to them". Doll asked Uzi. To which Uzi appropriately replied with "Bite me! Whoever started this wants us to fight. I'm not dealing with anything well, but I'm done dealing with everything alone" As she says this she look not only at N but also me and smiles. It was honestly very touching to me as I didn't know how she viewed me but now I can say she definitely sees me as a friend. "We move forward together, or not at all" Uzi says to Doll.
Doll, unamused by Uzi's speech, says "Cute, but I don't need help". Doll then goes to attack only to barely dodge a bullet shot at her by V. I took that opportunity to attack but once again teleports away out of our sight. Doll without Uzi's knowledge throws some blades towards her. But before they could touch her N quickly spins Uzi out of the way as he holds her close to her chest. "Stop saving me!!!" Uzi yells to N but also looks worried as she notices that some of the blades still hit him. Suddenly Doll teleports away as my knuckles crashed into the ground from where she was standing before. I groan in frustration from her constant slippery escape, however suddenly my legs were cut off from the AbsoluteSolver from behind as I was thrown to a wall. She picks up a table to throw at me when N kicks the side of her head as she flies into a wall with a look of annoyance. She uses the Solver to pick up the microphone stand to snap it in half and duplicates five of them. Then she throws them at N and pins him against the wall as he struggles to get out. Uzi then jumps in the air and kicks Doll away from N. Doll frustrated with Uzi tries to use the AbsoluteSolver on her only to realize the AbsoluteSolver has no affect on Uzi directly. Doll then quickly teleports away as V's sword slashes where she once stood. Doll stands in the middle of the room, as she throws multiple blades in different directions as both N and I grab our respective partners and spins them out of the way as if we were dancing. "Care for a dance V" I asked V as she rolls her eyes. Then all four of us fires or throws projectiles at Doll. V her guns, N his rockets, Uzi her knife, and finally me using my newest ability and shoots electricity at her. She was blown away as Uzi gets her final licks in as Doll levitates some tables and Uzi makes her way across them. Uzi grabs knives and hurls them at Doll and they knock Doll's bracelet off as she turns around to stare at it. Uzi kicks Doll while she is turned away and Doll begins to unleash her AbsoluteSolver. Only for V to finally shoot her in the back of her head while her focus was on Uzi.
"V, we needed her for answers!" Uzi yells in frustration at V. V replies with "What? She's fine. Uhh... A little tuckered out..." After everything starts to calm down N blurts out "V did that on purpose! She's hiding mystery stuff and being over dramatic about it!" Obviously V did not appreciate N calling her out as she punches his arm and yells "You suck!" "YOU!!!" Uzi yells as N and V point at each other in confusion at who's she talking to. "Lucky for you, we're not done yet" Uzi says as she picks up and holds the key to Doll's house.
Next thing I knew we entered Doll's home that is covered in oil and corpses. Uzi could only mutter "Uh-oh" while V on the other hand looked impressed as she says "Hehe. Nice". Corpses, garbage, and insects are scattered all over the place. As V has an arm in her mouth. Not long after N finds the body of her parents. "I think we found her folks..." N says a bit disturbed by the sight. "They don't really, didn't even taste that good" V says nonchalantly. " V, you kind of suck" N says as he can't believe of her attitude. "Yeah. I'm not doing okay" She says as she eats one of the bugs that covered the place. "Gotta say, it's honestly kind of impressive that she managed to kill this many people and haven't gotten caught yet" I said as I looked over the room. Uzi makes her way over to investigate. Uzi checks out a name tag. Yeva. Doll's mother. Suddenly, Doll teleports in behind them and begins to repair herself. I knew she would come but it is still terrifying how she's still alive. I brings a bit of fear in me because if I was struggling with her, then how would I fare against Cyn when the time comes. "Just in time for dinner" Doll says as she uses the bullet that V shot into her head in the gymnasium and shoots the bullet at Uzi. ... Only for Uzi to stop the bullet with her own AbsoluteSolver as the bullet remains in the air. Doll for once ever since we fought her showed a more vulnerable emotion as she looks at Uzi with pity. "I... I'm sorry..." Doll says to Uzi. She then continues "...For you. If I find what I'm looking for, I'll help you too". She says as Uzi yells "WHAT!!?" Only for Doll to tell her she's sorry again. Everyone rushes at Doll before she could escape "What? Oh, don't you dare!" Uzi yells as she tries to catch her before she escapes but it was too late as she is now gone. Which caused Uzi to yell out in frustration "Ugh, I hate it HEEERE!!!".
It seems so far the cannon is still in tact, though to be fait my interference has been small so far. I do wonder when cannon will derail from it's original course. I am not sure, but I can start by doing something. Something very wild and strange. We walked back int the Gymnasium as it is devoid of any students. I tapped V on the shoulder as a song starts to play. "My I have this dance you Psycho Cat" I asked V. V looked momentarily surprised by my offer as at first she crossed her arms and scoffed as if she wasn't interested. But then slightly smirks as she gently holds my hand as we dance to the music. "Maybe just this once" she says as we dance the night away. Our Deadly Dance.
