Dante looked back at the sigil, seeing with every step he took the light from it would glow brighter. His steps filled the area's silence with taps on each panel. Iris followed behind him with her wand drawn. Dante watched for her facial expressions, seeing that her worried face had changed to one of determination. He smirked as they arrived at the panel which covered their way out of the area.
"You ready?"
"Ready as I'll ever be…"
He then took a step forward, pressing his weight down on the panel. A switch sounded after, as the panel pushed down and the light from the sigil glew a bright blue. Iris gripped her wand in anticipation as the surrounding area suddenly began to drop in temperature. Across the panels, a pack of wolves slowly began to appear, forming from the smoke coming from underneath the panels linings.
"So that's how they spawn naturally…dungeons sure are innovative."
"You'd know that if you read up on dungeons…seriously."
"Lend me a book sometime then, I'd love to study up on it."
"Are you seriously asking for that at a time like this…just take care of them so we can continue!"
"Sounds like a plan!"
The wolves fully formed, bearing light blue and gray fur, seemed to be slightly altered than what Iris had recognized, noticing that one of the wolves seemed to have an opposite color palette. She winced to see the detailing on its fur, noticing it bore a white coat and a horn of ice on the center of its forehead. It snarled at the sight of the two, facing forward towards them as the size of it differed from the surrounding wolves.
"That must be the leader…but I don't think I've heard of the pack leader having a different colored coat…this one must be–"
"A higher level?"
"Exactly…just how many floors have we fallen…?" Iris questioned as the wolves slowly began to spread themselves along the panel's edges. Seemingly positioning themselves to try to surround the area. Iris began to chant as Dante readied his sword.
