No need for this motley bird to report, Elder Mei's voice already came from afar:

As Elder Mei's voice fell, Tian Lin noticed a plum tree beside him shifting position.
Fortunately, this was Zhe Mei Island, and Tian Lin knew Elder Mei wouldn't harm him. Otherwise, he would have fled the scene by now.
The scene shifted in a flash, and although Tian Lin didn't move, a cave mansion appeared before him.
It was as if the cave mansion 'walked' towards Tian Lin, and in the blink of an eye, Tian Lin and Mei Fairy had entered it.
"Disciple Tian Lin of the Wendao Sect greets Elder Mei!"
Suppressing his inner shock, Tian Lin respectfully saluted Elder Mei, who was cooking soup in the cave.
