"Isolde....."
"It's alright." She interrupted Elynor quickly turning away, "We've had a long day I think I'm ready to retire." She added clasping her hands together.
Elynor's face showed concern, his hand reaching out to touch her shoulder. "Of course, you're right. You've been through so much today." His thumb gently caressed her shoulder, a gesture of comfort and understanding. "Let me escort you to our chambers. I want to ensure you're safely inside before I depart."
She nods, grateful for his concern, and he leads her out of the study. The palace corridors are eerily quiet, only the occasional flickering of candlelight breaks the darkness as the sun begins to set. As Isolde ascends the grand staircase, Elynor's hand remains on her lower back, a steady presence in the silence. When they arrived to their chambers Isolde could feel her anxiety easing, "See you tonight?" she asked kissing him gently on his cheek.
