Chapter 306 - Statue

Rope looked at the cave in front of him and was struck by the separation.

The interior of the cave was studded with countless sparkling gems. There was also the sound of gurgling water ringing in his ears.

"This cave of yours, what's inside?"

Rope asked in a puzzled voice.

The little boy shook his head before hesitating, "We don't really know, the adults at home don't let us play near the cave. This time it was Uncle Eiichi who told me to bring you guys here I was only able to get to this neighborhood."

The little boy's eyes were filled with curiosity and expectation of the unknown. Rope looked at his eyes and was quite helpless. This village really didn't seem to be as simple as it was thought to be.

Rope touched his head and said, "Just wait for me outside, or you can go back over to the shrine to play with that little girl."

Rope smiled gently. The little child looked but was a little lost.

"Then, big brother you must tell me what's inside when you come back, okay!"

The little boy helplessly begged. He also knew that he couldn't just enter this cave, after all, the beatings he had received so many times since he was a child weren't for nothing.

He had firmly memorized it. The admonition of not being able to casually approach the cave and not being able to casually leave the village.

"Okay, I will."

With that, Rope smiled and headed towards the interior of the cave.

The little boy watched Rope's back from outside the cave, his eyes filled with longing.

——————————————

"Can't you guys leave the village?"

Diana said in shock as she looked at the youth in front of her.

This cold-faced youth was also a teenager she played with when she was a teenager. Only now it was also seen that this person was also suppressed in the middle of this village.

"You can't go out, it's not allowed, this is the rule of the ancestral training."

The youth's tone was calm, but this guy's face was not the kind of face that was bland with a slight adoration.

The cold smile that slightly grinned at the corner of his mouth was full of mockery.

"Brother Tachigado? What are you guys..."

"Although I don't know what exactly you guys came in here for. But...find out as much as you can. Why on earth is there this ancestry."

Tachigado said with an ugly face, "And find out exactly where this curse came from as well."

"Curse?"

Diana asked, a little puzzled.

"Yes, the curse." Tachigado said with a grave expression on his face, "Why do you think none of us left this village? Why do you think we don't even have the desire to fight back? Why don't we even make a move to fight back..."

"Because we're really desperate."

——————————————

"Isn't your shrine...a little short on people?"

Whitley looked at these plaques in front of him suspiciously, and for a moment could only ask so.

"There's only so many ah, grandpa said it seems like only those who have never violated the ancestral training can enter the shrine, so my great-grandfather wasn't in there either, he just set up a small shrine in his own home."

The little girl said seriously.

Whitley looked at the helplessness and despair that flowed from the bottom of the eyes of this eleven or twelve year old girl, not much younger than herself.

Whitley touched her head and said, "Don't worry, Rope is here, we will definitely give you an answer."

Looking at the shrine in front of him where incense lingered, but there were only a few plaques, Whitley suddenly recognized the contradictions of this village.

Countless young people wanted to leave this place. But they couldn't leave. Even so, generation after generation of young people still didn't give up trying to escape.

Unfortunately, it never looked like it was any use. There was bound to be some other reason for this. Only what exactly was the reason, they still had to get together and discuss it before they could do so.

"Whitley!"

Hearing someone calling out to her, Whitley looked back and realized that it was Diana calling out to her.

"Sister Diana!"

Whitley walked forward and asked, "Do you have any collections there?"

Diana nodded and said, "Quite a haul."

Then she looked around and frowned slightly, "Where's Professor Rope? I thought we were all supposed to meet together at this hour?"

Whitley glanced at the watch on her wrist, then shook her head with some concern, "Don't worry too much, there must have been some kind of harvest, Rope should have a key clue."

Although Whitley looked worried, her look and heart were still calm overall, after all, she had followed Rope all the way through, and was confident in Rope's strength and resilience.

Diana was different, before that lunch, Rope was a faraway legend to her. When confronted with a legend, you just let out a gasp of admiration no matter what amazing things he does.

But if that legend was someone close to you, you'd feel inexplicably nervous and worried.

Only the people around you know that the legend is just a person.

As long as it's a person, there must be limits.

At least until you've seen enough miracles, this mentality can't be changed.

Whitley had also gone through this stage, so he understood Diana's current state very well.

"Let's not worry about so many things first. Let's both come and summarize our work, then put together a preliminary document and send it to Yutsuki and Eri, and we'll start preparing for the aftermath of this one."

——————————————

In the cave.

Rope still feels shocked as he looks at the spectacle before him.

"This...hollowed out the mountain, didn't it..."

There were several curtains of waterfalls in the cave, and Rope roughly counted that there were 7 curtains of waterfalls just for what he saw now.

Although she didn't know what special meaning this number had, but this spectacular sight was always there.

More crucially, this was a huge lake with a small island in the middle of it. There was also something vaguely visible standing tall on the island.

Rope looked around. Finding that there really wasn't much in the way of transportation.

Rope took out a red and white ball from the side pocket of his backpack. It contained Hoopa.

"Come on out, Hoopa."

Hoopa didn't become Rope's Pokémon. the reason why he received him in the ball was also to keep a base card. This was also Rope's habit now.

This is also the reason for using the red and white ball. This poorer quality red and white ball could break free as soon as Hoopa exerted force.

"Rope, this place is..."

"A mysterious place, I'm not really sure what exactly is there like. But I think there should be a big catch."

Rope said with conviction.

Hoopa looked at this very unfamiliar scene in front of him and nodded his head, honestly, he also felt that this kind of place was definitely hiding a big secret.

"Let's go, you prepare for battle on the side."

Saying that, Rope had pulled out Charizard's elf ball.

Rolling over and sitting on Charizard's back, he glanced at Hoopa who nodded at him, signaling that he was fine with it.

Rope patted Charizard's neck, "Toward that island over there, let's go."

So Charizard let out a low growl, then flapped his wings and took off.

As the three of them flew above the lake, Hoopa's brow was locked, Charizard's nostrils continued to spew sparks out, and Rope had flames leaping from his body.

No kidding. Flying over the lake, all three of their hearts tightened in unison...

"Rope, I have a feeling something is wrong, but I don't see where."

Hoopa's voice rang in Rope's mind.

Rope nodded, then scanned the darkness over the cave then said, "Just be careful underwater. I highly doubt there's a problem there, and of course, there's only a problem in the sky..."

The corners of Hoopa's mouth twitched, this was not good news. the only thing left on Rope besides Charizard was Naganadel, who was not yet fully battle-formed, had the ability to fly.

It was nice to have what you could have, but... really, if you had to have a water-based archenemy...

"I'll leave the underwater to Haunter and you. Charizard and Naganadel see to the rest." Rope commanded with a promotion, "Have Entei and Monferno meet us on the island."

"Good."

And just then, Rope's ears twitched as he heard the sound of water flowing beyond the sound of the waterfall.

"Spread out!"

A huge black shadow suddenly leapt out from beneath the water's surface, then attacked frantically towards Rope and the others.

Rope and Hoopa quickly scattered.

Charizard, who had prepared for this, struck towards that guy over there with a Jet Flame.

The fire wings behind Rope opened up and gazed at the giant big fish Pokémon that sprang out from under the water was also taken aback.

"I didn't realize this kind of Pokémon actually existed..."

Hoopa's exclamation also resounded in Rope's heart.

"What Pokémon?"

Rope actually had some impression of this kind of Pokémon.

If he remembered correctly, two new Pokémon and two new forms of Pokémon had appeared among the previews about Arceus at that time.

One of them was supposed to be this one...

"Basculegion, the Pokémon with the dual attributes of Ghost and Water... this is an ancient Pokémon! By all rights it should have gone extinct a long time ago."

Hoopa's tone took on a tone of meaningful emotion. For Hoopa, it was the same as seeing an old friend again...

Charizard's jet of flame clearly did not cause any harm to Basculegion.

And Basculegion fell back into the water from mid-air. Before Rope and the others could breathe a sigh of relief, a crisp eagle's cry rang out in the air, followed by a black shadow with a colorful glow in front of its head coming in the direction of Rope's Charizard.

At Rope's waist, a white light suddenly flashed, and Naganadel struck towards the black shadow with a shot of Venom Blast. Charizard was also not polite at all, immediately a flame vortex intended to trap the black shadow.

At the same time, the underwater Basculegion unleashed a jet of water that was clearly headed towards Rope.

Hoopa casually sent a Shadow Ball to intend the jet of water, and then leapt underwater with Haunter, who had also sprung from the ball.

Rope then threw the two remaining Pokémon's Pokeballs towards the island in the distance.

Not far from the island, Monferno and Entei landed.

Both guys were ready to fight, but there didn't seem to be any danger on the island.

It had to be said that this was Rope's limitation.

Even if Chimchar was fine, Haunter had accumulated enough now, and it was time for him to evolve. After all, for Gengi, whether it's mega evolution or Z move or Super Extreme Megatronization, they are all very powerful means of strengthening.

Rope was still optimistic about Haunter's future.

And Monferno's accumulation has always been enough, just lacking an opportunity. An opportunity between life and death crisis. It was like that fight before. Weakness over strength, all out.

Rope shook his head somewhat helplessly. After all, Haunter's evolution, it is best to contact Silver that guy, that guy is the exchange of people.Rope naturally also trust Professor Oak's vision.

Rope naturally trusts Professor Oak's vision. He can't see much under the water, but with Hoopa keeping him down, Rope doesn't think there will be anything out of the ordinary.

After all, Hoopa's strength is the strongest among the gods, even Rope can not deny Hoopa's power.

Even Rope couldn't deny Hoopa's power. Therefore, Rope was now more concerned about the battle in the air.

After looking carefully for a while, Rope had also recognized what that Pokémon was...

[Hisui regional form of Braviary?]

The corner of Rope's mouth twitched slightly, "This place really has a long history of a few moves..."

That was all Rope could muster as an emotion. However, he also didn't think that this Braviary would be some old guy who had lived for an unknown number of years. After all, he was already being beaten by Charizard and Naganadel right now.

It looked more like a newborn Pokémon lacking combat experience than an old guy...

Basculegion on the other hand does have the potential to be a very old old guy...

Whether it was size or anything else it was just too much.

Rope shook his head, flapped the firewing behind him, and took off towards the island.

He was pretty much certain of the battle situation here as well.

That's why he was very calm about going to the island to see the situation.

Landing on the island, Rope nodded towards Entei and Monferno before taking them both back into the ball.

Seriously, when it came to exploring, sometimes it really wasn't the more people the better. more of Rope's Pokémon's roles were all about sparring. Rather than having a search role like Diana's Noivern and Tonkatsu.

So when it comes to exploring, their role isn't just repetitive. And they don't help much.

It stands to reason that their biggest role is to protect Rope as a trainer...

Unfortunately for Rope...there was no need for their protection...

Rope scanned around and found the shadow of a pillar on the island in the center of the lake.

A fireball coalesced in Rope's hand, quickly expanding to the size of a canopy.

The fireball slowly rises into the air, also illuminating the scene on the island before him.

Not far from the edge of the cave, there is a basalt-paved square with many pillars.

These pillars formed a circle, as if they were guarding the statue in the center of the square.

Rope looked at the huge statue. Countless thoughts came to her mind, as if everything had been answered.

But it was as if all the mysteries had just begun...
