"Are you saying that the village did experience a fire previously?"
Whitley looked at this old man in front of him with a slightly odd expression.
"Yes! What a huge fire! The burnt village is gone. Originally, we were holding a ritual ceremony in a temple at the back of the village already. But that fire reduced the temple to rubble in a single blaze."
This old man, who was quite a bit older than the village chief, sighed deeply and said, "It was also because the God of Creation didn't save us in that fire, and didn't even guard his own temple. That's why many young people have lost their reverence for Lord Genesis."
The old man lowered his head in some pain.
"You... have a very strong faith in the God of Creation?"
Whitley looked at the old man with a pained face and asked with some doubt.
The old man, however, shook his head without much thought and said, "Those who really have an incredibly strong faith in the God of Creation have already left this village."
"Watching them little ones gradually lose their faith in the God of Creation is the most painful thing for them."
"But I'm different...my wife and daughter also died in the fire. I also became a rebel in the mouths of those people."
There was a sad look in the old man's eyes.
Whitley was a bit intolerant and thought about stopping there. It was very unethical to expose people's scars.
But Diana on the side immediately spoke up, "Then do you think the legend of the creator god is worth believing in?"
The old man was silent for a long time, nodding and shaking his head.
"This kind of thing...how can I say?"
"I have been worshipping the God of Creation with the adults in my family since I was very young. I've seen the God of Creation manifest miracles with my own eyes. But in the end why can't the God of Creation even protect himself?"
"I can't say, I can't say."
Diana looked at the old man in front of her, still wanting to ask questions, big words came to her mouth, looking at the old man's agonized expression. In the end, she sighed and dismissed the idea of asking further questions.
Whitley patted Diana's shoulder, then the two quietly left the old man's hut. As the two walked out of the hut, the sound of the old man bawling came from behind them.
Diana paused for a moment, then laughed bitterly, "I never should have asked that last question."
Whitley patted her shoulder again, signaling her not to mind such things.
"I don't blame you, that's just the way Uncle Eight is, but whenever anyone talks to him about that fire, they end up like that."
Aohane, who was leaning at the doorway, shook his head then turned to the two girls.
"Nothing to do with you guys...he just wanted a reason to cry it out."
There was quite a bit of recognition and compassion in Aohane's tone.
Diana was silent for a moment, then nodded. Whitley, on the other hand, asked with some curiosity, "A reason to cry it out?"
"A man can't just cry. No matter how tough the situation is, they will try to restrain their emotions."
Diana explained to Whitley on the side.
"You look at Professor Rope and he's always been bland...in fact, someone like that could have a lot of emotion inside instead, and more to the point, sensitivity."
Diana's eyes showed a similar hint of pity.
"Any pain he has he'll keep it inside. Afraid that if you see him sad it will lead to him being sad himself."
Diana looked at Whitley, who was still somewhat oblivious, and stroked the little girl's head and smiled, "You'll understand later."
Whitley rolled her eyes at Diana and then said, "Okay, okay! Then I'll grow up quickly, okay! I'm already sixteen, so don't you guys keep acting like you're coaxing a child."
Whitley said with some dissatisfaction, but with some helplessness.
"Let's go, I'll take you two to the ruins of that temple in the back of the mountain to have a look."
Aohane saw that the two people's emotions had also stabilized, then said with a smile. He was arranged by his own grandfather to be a tour guide for these two girls. There was no dissatisfaction, after all, these two girls were both very nice beauties. Although he didn't have anything else in mind, but it looked pleasing to the eyes after all!
Diana was just about to open her mouth to agree when she suddenly felt a wave of uneasiness. She scanned around, always feeling like someone was spying on her. It wasn't just her, it was Whitley too. They followed Rope's Rope's side, being though they didn't get any special abilities. But because of Rope's somewhat deliberate energy influence. The two of them also had good senses. There was always an instinctive sense of those dangers.
"What's wrong?"
Aohane asked with some confusion as she watched the two look around.
Diana was just about to open her mouth to explain when Whitley reached out and pulled her back. Now Whitley didn't look like the little girl who had just asked 'Why can't men just cry?' Diana saw shades of Professor Rope in the expression of light laughter on her face.
"Nothing's wrong, we'll just go over there. It's just some nerves."
Aohane looked at Whitley in front of him a little puzzled for a moment when he heard this. But soon he didn't want to.
"You guys stay close to me."
Feeling a little bad Aohane released Bisharp from the Pokéball on his waist.
"Bisharp, you go to the end of the line."
"Chop!"
Bisharp nodded before taking up position behind the two women. The corner of Whitley's mouth twitched slightly...why do I get the feeling that Aohane is a little more dangerous than that guy...
But Whitley did sense that Aohane really didn't mean any harm to the two of them.
"Let's go then."
As he said this, Whitley shook the cell phone he was holding in his hand at the side of his belt, and Diana looked at the lighted call screen on her cell phone and the inconspicuous-looking ring and breathed a sigh of relief.
Aohane saw that Diana didn't have any other reaction and started to lead the two girls towards the back of the village.
And in the bushes. A teenager with a frosty face and an eye patch quietly watched the two girls and one man leaving before him. Rubbing a small bottle in his arms. Inside the bottle were three small blackish looking pills.
The teenager's face was grim as he saw the three leave and slowly followed them himself.
On the other side of the village chief's house, Rope, who was analyzing the totem styles, slowly stopped the pen he was holding as he listened to the voice coming from Rotom.
He glanced at Hoopa who was napping on one side and slapped Hoopa on the head and said, "Get up!"
"It really wasn't me! I didn't pluck your hair!"
Hoopa was awakened from his dream and this suddenly came out of his mouth while he was half asleep.
The corners of Rope's mouth twitched slightly...how many of these things has this guy done...dreaming of being hunted down...
Wait, this guy wouldn't be the Crescent Moon Feather of the plucked God of Beauty Dreams-Crezelia...are you ya really being hunted down in your dreams?????
Rope looked helplessly at this Hoopa only to feel that this guy is still alive is really simply strong enough.
"Go, follow Whitley and Diana, and leave anything you can't solve to me."
While saying that, he also handed over Monferno's Pokéball.
"Let Monferno fight that guy if you get the chance. Let's see if he can try to evolve this time."
Hoopa took the Pokéball and saluted Rope.
"Promise to get the job done!"
After saying that, he slapped Monferno on his Pokéball. Then he said, "Don't worry, if you can't break the knot this time, I'll bring that bastard Giratina over and let you fight him, so you should be able to let go no matter if you win or lose."
Hoopa said with a relaxed face, Rope also nodded. Hoopa's approach was rough. But it really wasn't a bad method either.
Monferno's Pokéball fluttered gently, signaling that he already knew.
Rope and Hoopa weren't saying anything more. If they promised something, they would do it. At least to their own people.
So Hoopa wasn't delaying, he opened a gold ring and then dug into Whitley's backpack.
"Don't worry little Whitley, I'm on this side, nothing will go wrong. "
Hoopa patted Whitley's back through the backpack. Then said in Whitley's mind.
Whitley was also relieved when she heard Hoopa's voice. Although she, hadn't seen Hoopa go all out. But as a Grade 1 God, Hoopa shouldn't have too much of a problem dealing with any of this world's creatures. It was just a matter of being able to win.
Whitley didn't move and compared ''Reinforcements are coming'' to Diana behind himself.
Diana behind her was relieved.
It was obvious that Diana was also holding her breath. However, she did know what Rope meant. It was obvious that Rope was planning to give this village another show of his muscles. And then let the others know their strength.
Not really, Rope just wanted to settle this guy once and for all. There's always a problem if you drag it out. Dangling the fish out and then taking care of the other guy in one go was what Rope had in mind.
He'd had a hard time with that little guy Jikan for a long time. If he hadn't been concerned about little Whitley's psychological problems, Rope would have given him a gift bag that didn't require him to get out of bed again.
Do you really think that if you can't peck your eyes out, you can't peck your brains out?
Or do the villagers think they have a big face?
No kidding.
Even if Rope cares, Hoopa doesn't. Do you really think Hoopa doesn't want to kill that disgusting guy?
If that guy didn't still have a point as a textbook ya would have been gone long ago.
"It's just up ahead."
Aohane said as he pointed to a pile of something that wasn't really there, Diana and Whitley looked in the direction of his finger but were embarrassed to realize... it was a pile of something that wasn't really there.
It was simply rubble, by and large.
"This is...the temple?"
Diana said with a somewhat odd expression on her face.
The pile of charred black stones was simply scattered on the ground, along with some broken walls. But it all looked like there was nothing missing. A pile was a full pile. The soot on it was as if it had been burned yesterday, and it simply didn't have the vicissitudes of having been weathered for decades...
Is this from Business Week? This is from last week, right?
It was just as well that Rope wasn't there, or else he'd have spat that line.
"Too new..."
Though Whitley didn't have all the fluff that Rope had, he had still learned the basics of insight to a tee. Not to mention the newness of the pair of ruins in front of him...it really had nothing to do with insight...it was new to the naked eye.
"That's all I've seen since I was a kid anyway...you're saying I don't have the slightest faith in the creator god that's bullshit... "Aohane shrugged, "It's not exactly easy for a miracle like this to try and talk with its eyes wide open ..."
Whitley frowned and nodded before moving on.
Step by step they approached the ruins not far away. And just as they were halfway there.
Suddenly from behind them came a growl.
"Roar !!!!"
Bisharp, who had broken the back, took the brunt of the roar, and at the first instant he heard the shout he quickly turned back.
"Iron Defense!"
Aohane naturally ordered quickly as well. Normally being a resourceful hunter, Aohane's ability to react to such situations is still quick.
But when Bisharp assumed the Iron Defense stance, he was already knocked off his feet.
"Cha! (Run!)"
Bisharp yells at the top of his lungs.
But he couldn't even react...how could anyone here?
His heart was actually a bit desperate. If his master died here, he would definitely double his efforts and then kill this murderer himself!
But the next moment, a flash of brilliant flames exploded in the middle of his vision.
"Monferno! over to you!"
Whitley shouted.
Monferno's energy level was already very high now, and it was definitely not something that an ordinary trainer could command. But fortunately, Monferno could be said to have grown up under Whitley's care. So he didn't reject Whitley's command at all. Of course, he doesn't follow orders for the typical missteps...
Whitley was more than self-aware, she knew that her command would do absolutely nothing to help Monferno now, and would even add to his chaos. So she simply shouted ''I'll leave it to you'' and then pulled Diana along with her to hide behind Hoopa.
Hoopa did not carelessly transformed into a liberated Hoopa, and then protected the two girls behind him...his intuition told him that the enemy, was not simple.
As for Aohane...he looked at Bisharp, who was already lying dead, Monferno, who was preparing to meet the enemy, and Hoopa, who was protecting the two girls.
Then I go?
"Cha!"
Monferno looked at the Houndoom across from him that had a stream of black smoke wrapped around its body, knowing full well that the opponent in front of him would not be easy to deal with.
"Roar!"
Houndoom's eyes were bloodshot and saliva dripped from the corners of its mouth, like a mad dog.
And deep in the forest. Came Jikan's voice.
"Surrender, Aohane, and give me those two women! I'll leave you alive!"
Aohane: ????
How did you see that I have such a decisive role in this situation?????
But Jikan over there acted as if he didn't even realize the situation and blandly said, "My current strength is not even comparable to that of you mortals! I am a true god!"
Whitley heard this and rolled his eyes and shouted, "Just you? A god? You're just an accident..."
