{Chapter: 246 The First Person}
A blinding torrent of golden lightning erupted from the colossal sword gripped tightly in William's massive hand. The air screamed as the electric currents hissed along the blade's edges, crackling with raw, fury. The sky darkened in response, as if recoiling from the sheer pressure of the power being unleashed.
"Fuck your pretty mothers!" William's voice exploded like a god's wrath across the skies. His roar shattered the clouds above, and then—without hesitation—he brought the golden giant sword down with overwhelming force toward the god-class battleship below.
The titanic vessel, still reacting to William's sudden reappearance, had no time to flee. It surged its defensive systems to full capacity. A translucent energy barrier engulfed the warship, shimmering with arcane light and sacred runes—the pride of Asgard's technology and magic fused as one.
BOOM!
The moment blade met barrier, a cataclysmic thunderclap burst across the battlefield. A shockwave exploded outward from the impact, warping the air and shaking the earth below. Mountains in the distance trembled. Waves in the sea turned violent.
Crack... Crack... CRAAACK!
Hairline fractures veined across the energy shield, branching like spiderwebs under the weight of a god's fury. Panic erupted within the Asgardian ranks.
Countless escort frigates swarmed like hornets around the god-level battleship, unleashing a torrent of energy blasts and magical projectiles at William's towering form. They struck his golden form, scorching and slicing—but only lightly. He grunted in annoyance, his golden eyes flaring.
"You're starting to piss me off."
With a violent thrust of his left arm, massive water bombs began to form in the air—globes of compressed seawater spinning with energy. He launched them without mercy.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Each bomb was like a falling star of destruction. Frigates exploded in fiery blossoms of blue and orange, debris raining from the sky like metal confetti. The shockwaves from the blasts ripped through the lower city. Whole towers were crushed beneath falling wreckage. The screams of civilians rang out as many were crushed, vaporized, or turned to red mist beneath the falling carnage.
Blood painted the golden streets of Asgard.
Odin appeared beside the main battleship in a flash of light, his robes whipping in the energy storm. His eyes, wide with urgency, glowed with divine intensity. He thrust both hands at the failing energy shield, and from his palms surged a cascade of Odinforce—ancient power that carried the weight of millennia.
The battered shield flickered and glowed, quickly stabilizing and repairing itself under his intervention. For a moment, hope returned to the Asgardians.
But William only laughed—a deep, cruel laugh that made the gods tremble.
"Odin, it's useless. You can't save it. Hahaha." William laughed wildly, and a strong electric current burst forth from the golden giant sword.
The electric current caused great damage to the energy shield, but Odinforce power is strong. All damage on the energy shield can be repaired in time by his divine power.
"Odin, you think that will save you? That your sacred force can delay me? Watch and despair."
His golden eyes flared with radiant light, and a devastating force fired, striking the shield dead center. The sound was unbearable—like the cry of a dying star. The hull of the battleship groaned as the impact nearly tore it apart from the pressure alone. The shield held—but just barely. Cracks spidered across it again, and now they didn't stop.
"Break! BREAK!" William howled as the golden giant sword surged with unholy lightning once more.
He gripped it with both hands, the blade hissing and sizzling like a burning god. Thunder howled in the clouds above, and the skies flashed violently with blood-red lightning.
CRAAAASH!
The barrier shattered like glass. The protective dome that once made Asgard proud was no more—it disintegrated into the ether, powerless against the force of chaos incarnate.
Odin stumbled back, blood dripping from his nose. His body swayed. His heart sank.
And then—William raised the blade for one final, decisive strike.
"THIS… IS YOUR END!" he bellowed.
BOOOOOOM!
With divine violence, the golden giant sword came crashing down. It cleaved the god-class warship clean in half—like a hot knife slicing through butter. The mighty vessel, once a symbol of Asgard's supremacy, was now two blazing carcasses tumbling through the air.
One half slammed into the city's upper tiers, crushing thousands. The other crashed into the outer districts, igniting a cataclysmic explosion.
BOOM! BOOM!
The ground cracked. Flames erupted like volcanoes. The impact obliterated buildings, and even entire neighborhoods. Fires raged uncontrollably, and screams of the dying and wounded echoed across the realm.
Bodies were flung like ragdolls. Blood splashed the holy stone roads. Asgard burned.
Above it all, William hovered—titanic, golden, and merciless.
He stood amidst the carnage, laughing like a mad god, the golden giant sword resting on his shoulder.
Odin stood far from the ruined battlefield, his piercing gaze surveying the smoldering wreckage and shattered buildings below. The ground was littered with broken bodies and burning debris, the cries of the wounded drowned by the roar of distant explosions. Blood painted the rubble in streaks of crimson, the aftermath of William's merciless rampage. Odin's fists clenched tightly at his sides, veins bulging, golden energy flickering across his form like wildfire barely contained.
"You..." Odin growled, his voice low and furious, each word laced with divine rage. "You are the first being in centuries to truly infuriate me, William. If I don't kill you today, then I am unworthy of the name All-Father!"
A blinding surge of Odinforce erupted from his body, splitting the clouds above. In the blink of an eye, he vanished from view—an ancient god in motion.
BOOM!
A thunderous impact echoed across the sky. Odin's fist collided with William's armored chest, denting the golden plating and sending arcs of lightning dancing wildly across the surface. Cracks rippled across William's armor like shattered glass under a hammer.
Odin didn't stop there. He surged forward, his hands striking like twin hammers of divine justice, slamming into William's chest and unleashing a focused beam of Odinforce.
CRACK!
William roared in pain, his deep bellow shaking the atmosphere. His massive body was flung backward like a falling meteor, smashing through a nearby floating tower, which crumbled into a cascade of steel and stone. Flames erupted below as the structure crashed into the ruins.
Yet, even as he slowed his momentum midair, William grinned. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, and his golden eyes burned with battle lust.
"When fighting smaller opponents..." William growled, "...this body becomes a burden. Perhaps it's time I change the rules."
His massive form began to shrink rapidly. From five hundred meters tall to three hundred… one hundred… fifty… twenty… ten meters. Then further—down to a solid, intimidating three-meter-tall version of himself. Though his size changed, the oppressive aura he exuded only intensified. Muscles coiled tighter, energy surged more fiercely, and the golden sword in his hand shrank proportionally, humming with deadly potential as it condensed to a sleek, two-meter-long blade of blinding brilliance.
"I won't let you!" Odin's voice roared across the sky as he moved to strike again.
William disappeared in a golden flash, reappearing behind Odin, his voice calm and ice-cold. "This isn't your decision."
Odin spun, his fist laced with divine fury, and struck at the approaching blur.
CLANG!
Golden blade and divine knuckles met in midair, the clash producing an ear-splitting shockwave that split the clouds and sent a pulse of light across the heavens. Both warriors were hurled backward by the force, crashing into distant structures with devastating impact. Dust and debris exploded in every direction.
Odin emerged from the wreckage, unfazed, his eyes burning with the fury of a thousand battles. "You are no longer human, William. You've become something else... something monstrous."
William's feet touched the ground lightly as he emerged from the dust, smirking. "You say that like it's a bad thing." His tone darkened. "I didn't evolve for praise—I evolved to dominate."
A golden aura flared around him, swirling like a solar storm. Blood dripped from his lips, staining the edge of his blade. "Now stop talking, old god. If you want me dead—come prove it!"
With a deafening battle cry, William shot forward, trailing arcs of electricity and golden flames. Odin responded in kind, his divine power flaring brighter than ever before. The two collided again with a sound like worlds colliding.
BOOM!
The battlefield trembled. Mountains in the distance cracked. The ground beneath them ruptured like brittle glass, sending shockwaves across the entire region. Energy blasted outward in a dome of destruction, vaporizing anything too close—metal, flesh, or stone.
Blood sprayed into the air from both combatants—Odin with a deep slash across his arm, William with fresh dents in his golden armor and a bleeding gash across his side. Neither faltered.
They moved like blurs, clashing again and again—blade against fist, lightning against divine power. Every blow was world-ending, every strike a godly statement of wrath and will.
In the chaos of war-torn skies and burning cities below, two titans battled in a storm of blood, fire, and fury—neither willing to yield, neither destined to walk away unchanged.
