Mark and James were left helpless. They knew the enemy was present in the room with them, but they couldn't do anything because they couldn't see him.
Liam's apartment wasn't big enough for them to spread apart to the end of the apartment to get out of the enemy's domain radius. Either of them would have needed to open the front door and step out.
That was the best option they had. As long as either one of them could see them, they could coordinate and find him.
Of course, they couldn't say their plan out loud, otherwise the enemy would know it too and prepare for a counterattack. They still didn't know how strong the enemy was.
James and Mark were best buds since training school, and even today, they stayed together. They could know what the other was thinking because they had the same thought process.
They looked at each other with a serious look on their faces, and then dashed to the end of the apartment. James went to the balcony, and Mark went to the front door.
