Cassius was right. Things doesn't add up. Was Morpheus also one of those sorcerer who had came to despise their witch's action and then gained his power to go against the said witch? Why did he helped the humans so much to the point he was willing to be cursed and bound to Versailles forever despite hating to be bound to it his entire life?
"But Cassius," she whispered with a frown, "It doesn't make sense does it? If it's true that Morpheus needed a witch to marry, why not someone else? Why not my mother or someone else? Ariel is with him isn't she? Then he could have chosen her as well, it wouldn't be impossible if he does that since Ariel seems to be willing in coming with him... Why does it have to be me?"
Cassius leaned back and she could see his thoughts swirling inside his head. It wasn't that he didn't know the answer but he does and yet not wanting to say it out loud as if he was peeved by the idea itself.
