The sounds of the soft knocks at the door did not wake Selene up even though she probably heard the sound far in her subconscious.
But as the door opened, she sat up in alert and her eyes hurriedly searched around for the book that had been given to him.
She dove for the book which was on the edge of the bed and it fell to the bed just as whoever opened the door got to the bed.
The footsteps had stopped now and Selene was scared to look up and see Zephyr but realizing she was caught in the act she slowly raised her gaze up.
A wave of relief washed over her as she met a confused Isolde holding a tray and starring from Selene to the book.
There was a brief moment of silence and then Selene retrieved the book and sat up with a deep sigh.
"Hi." She greeted Isolde, her voice sounding cracked from sleep.
"Good morning Selene." Isolde said setting tge try down. "I'm so sorry for barging on, I knocked and you did not respond."
