Chapter 140 - Chapter 140

However, Yoruha really didn't want to appear in front of Tsunade. The reason Yoruha was concerned about Tsunade and Shizune was that Tsunade was dead drunk, and Shizune had also been drinking, sleeping so soundly that she hadn't woken up yet. After Tsunade returned, Yoruha settled the bill and left.

Watching Yoruha leave, Tsunade inexplicably felt a sense of relief. It was clear she didn't want Yoruha involved in her dispute with the Raikage. That was a battle he couldn't participate in.

Despite the verbal sparring earlier, where Tsunade seemed quite angry with Yoruha, she actually admired him a lot. She really liked Yoruha's personality.

Moreover, Yoruha was clearly a genius, and Tsunade didn't want the genius that Konoha had painstakingly nurtured to die here. After leaving the tavern, Yoruha activated his sensory abilities. His sensory range was incredibly vast, allowing him to detect chakra within a 50-kilometer radius.

Of course, the further the distance, the less precise the sensing. But it was more than enough for combat. The purpose of Yoruha activating his sensory abilities wasn't due to any special hobby.

He needed to locate the Fourth Raikage and Amayi. When Yoruha opened his eyes, he headed in a specific direction. A few minutes later, he arrived outside a park.

He saw two people standing in the park. It was the Fourth Raikage and Amayi. The Fourth Raikage had assumed Tsunade would follow him, so he was waiting for her there.

But clearly, Tsunade didn't bother with him. Yoruha glanced across the park and had booked a room in a hotel opposite the park. Although he wanted to leave, the presence of the Fourth Raikage made him worry that if anything unexpected happened, Tsunade wouldn't be a match for the Raikage.

While Yoruha wasn't confident he could defeat the Fourth Raikage, he was confident he could protect Tsunade and Shizune. The Fourth Raikage's speed was too fast, and although his strength wasn't as great as Tsunade's, it was only slightly less. The Raikage's Lightning Release Chakra Mode could render Tsunade unable to fight effectively.

Speed is the key. In terms of attack power, Minato wasn't considered strong, but his speed was so fast that he could take down opponents before they had a chance to retaliate. The Fourth Raikage was similar against Tsunade. Yoruha didn't know if Tsunade could defeat the Fourth Raikage, but in his view, the Raikage clearly had the upper hand against her.

Tsunade's speed wasn't fast; no matter how strong she was, it was useless if she couldn't hit her target. Yoruha didn't want Tsunade to see him, so he planned to protect them from the shadows. Once Tsunade and Shizune were completely safe, Yoruha would leave.

After all, he still had about a month. Staying here for a day or two wouldn't delay anything. Yoruha booked a room in the hotel opposite the park and even kept his sensory abilities active while sleeping.

This consumed a lot of chakra, something ordinary people couldn't sustain. But this chakra consumption was still slower than Yoruha's own chakra recovery rate.

The entire day passed without Tsunade appearing. The Fourth Raikage, being a straightforward person, waited in the park for Tsunade the whole day. By noon the next day, Tsunade still hadn't shown up.

Only then did the Fourth Raikage realize he had been stood up by Tsunade. Enraged, the Fourth Raikage shouted, "That damn Tsunade, she actually tricked me!"

The enraged Fourth Raikage was at a loss for words. "Truly simple-minded, only now realizing he's been played." "But it seems nothing unexpected will happen. By now, Tsunade should have sobered up from her drinking."

"Let's leave after they finish the surgery." Yoruha knew that Tsunade would lose to the Fourth Raikage in an arm-wrestling match and would eventually agree to treat the Raikage's companion. As long as Tsunade and Shizune were not in danger, Yoruha would not intervene.

The Fourth Raikage stormed off to the tavern to find Tsunade. After sobering up, Tsunade didn't even recognize who he was, forcing the Raikage's guard to introduce him again.

Subsequent events unfolded just as Yoruha remembered, unchanged by his presence. However, Yoruha quietly left only after Tsunade completed the surgery on the Raikage's companion. During this time, Yoruha witnessed Tsunade's hemophobia.

That helpless, fearful look was something Yoruha had never seen before. Yet, Yoruha didn't feel much sympathy, knowing that Naruto would soon help Tsunade overcome her fear of blood. After the surgery, the Fourth Raikage did nothing to Tsunade and left with his group.

Tsunade, on the other hand, continued drinking and gambling in the small town with Shizune. Yoruha also quietly departed. After Yoruha left, Tsunade went to the inn where Yoruha had stayed.

Shizune was puzzled about why Tsunade was there. Tsunade approached the counter and asked, "Boss, did a Konoha ninja, about thirteen or fourteen years old, stay here yesterday?" The innkeeper, recognizing Tsunade, immediately responded with respect, "Ah, it's Lady Tsunade. Let me check for you, please wait a moment."

Tsunade nodded and sat down with a calm expression. Shizune, beside her, had no idea what Tsunade was up to, as she hadn't noticed Yoruha at all the previous day.

Sitting next to Tsunade, Shizune asked curiously, "Lady Tsunade, who are you looking for?" Tsunade didn't reply. During the arm-wrestling with the Fourth Raikage and the subsequent surgery, she had felt someone following them.

After thinking it over, Tsunade concluded that the person was Yoruha. However, Tsunade was quite shocked. If it was Yoruha, then his abilities were quite formidable. For both her and the Fourth Raikage to be unable to detect him, such stealth indicated that Yoruha's strength was not low, possibly even surpassing that of a Chunin.

Most importantly, Yoruha genuinely cared about them, not because of her status. Seeing Tsunade's serious expression, Shizune stopped asking questions, though her heart was filled with confusion.

After a while, the innkeeper finally found the information. Since ninjas usually need to register when staying at inns, and this was the Land of Fire, other villages might be reluctant, but Konoha ninjas generally followed the rules. The innkeeper handed the register to Tsunade and said, "Lady Tsunade, the person you're looking for should be this one."

Tsunade took the register and looked at it. "Natsuki Yoruha, that's him." "It seems the person following us today was him."

Shizune was baffled, "Natsuki Yoruha? Who's that?" Tsunade looked at the registration information.

"Take me to see his room," she said. Although the innkeeper didn't know what Tsunade intended to do, he dared not refuse since it was a direct request from her.

He led Tsunade and Shizune to the room where Yoruha had stayed. Tsunade went to the window, from which she could clearly see the distant park. Tsunade fully understood Yoruha's intentions.

With a smile, she said, "This kid is quite interesting. It seems he genuinely cares about us, just a bit cold in personality." Remembering her conversation with Yoruha the previous day, Tsunade smiled. Her heart felt warm, knowing that Yoruha protected them because they were Konoha ninjas.

Nonetheless, Tsunade had a very favorable impression of Yoruha. He was completely different from Nawaki and Dan Kato. Naturally, Tsunade wouldn't place the same expectations on him as she did on Naruto.

To Tsunade, Yoruha was a very reliable person, someone with a strong sense of responsibility. Such a person is likable to anyone, and Tsunade was no exception. Of course, Tsunade's feelings for Yoruha were purely those of a senior appreciating a junior.

There were no romantic feelings involved, as she was over fifty and her heart belonged to Dan Kato. Her regard for Yoruha was purely admiration and appreciation for an outstanding junior.
