Upon returning to his room, Nova plopped down onto his bed and let out a long sigh. He could feel the adrenaline in his veins, his muscles sore from everything that had happened. He needed a good rest and he knew that, but there were a lot of things on his mind that were bothering him, ones that he would rather not think about.
Feeling restless, he could not sit in one place; he got up and went to the window, where he sat on the windowsill, his crimson-violet eyes staring out at the moonlit city below. Smoke still curled in the air from the ruins at the port. Somewhere out there, the enemy licked their wounds, cursing his naming and promising themselves they would get revenge; he knew that all too well.
