After returning to White Zephyr City, Ethan teleported directly to Golden Ridge City. Since his registered location was still Golden Ridge, he had to be there to sign up for the solo tournament. Team matches didn't have this restriction, presumably because the system took into account the presence of cross-city teams.

Sealed: "Good timing. Any later and I would've had to call you."
Whispering Wind: "I heard from Vivian there's some kind of challenge today, so I hopped on right after dinner."
Ethan sent her his coordinates, and the two quickly met up to register.
Each main city had numerous registration spots, so it wasn't too crowded. Plus, half the day had passed already, and most players had already signed up.
