I stayed cooped up in there, waiting for the hellish nightmare to stop, waiting for someone to come to rescue me. I even hoped this would all be a bad dream, and I woke up from this, but it just didn't seem to stop or end.
I kept hearing the sounds of people screaming; the surface above me shook every time there was a loud noise.
And yet there was nothing I could do.
Mama... papa... anyone...
I cried, calling for them inside my heart. But nothing happened.
Hours passed by, and slowly, the sound coming from above died down.
It had finally ended, but there was no happiness inside me; even without knowing what was going on here, I knew that it was bad. And today I had lost a very special thing which I can never get back.
Even after it all ended, I stayed there, dearing that it might start again.
Hours passed, and I still didn't move; as more and more time passed by, the loneliness took over me.
It was silent, eerily silent, above the surface and beneath the surface.
