Aurora James - POV
"You are not?" Zander asked me when I shook my head. To be honest, I am not mad at Zander, I am just disappointed and hurt that he hid such a thing from me. Deep down, I know that he would never cheat on me, but there is always this nagging feeling at the back of my mind. And I know that would only quiet down if Heather reassures me that nothing is going on between them.
"But that doesn't mean we can forget everything and pretend like nothing happened at all, Zander. After all, she was your mate, and I would understand if you still had some feelings lingering for her." I told him when a smile formed on his face.
"I thought you would never believe me, Aurora," he stated, but all I did was nod my head.
"But, Zander, I need to hear it from Heather as well. I don't want to blindly trust you again. I want to make sure that there isn't going to be a fight for your love. Because I don't have the energy to fight anymore." I told him, and he nodded his head.
