The chamber's walls glistened with veins of molten ore, and the air thrummed with an ancient, resonant energy. Is this a lair? Baines wondered, his eyes tracing the vault's vast dimensions, its arched ceiling lost in shadow. The Darkan head stepped forward, placing a weathered hand on a central rune etched into the stone.
