Chapter 285: Five-Tails
You can observe? You can hypnotize? You use genjutsu? Fine! I'll divide my chakra equally and let you observe properly! If you can identify the real body, I'll admit defeat.
At this moment, ten Tsunades, ten Inos, and ten Shizunes surrounded Obito.
The crimson Sharingan spun several times, but it couldn't discern the real bodies of the three.
Ten Tsunades roared simultaneously, fists raining down on Obito from all directions.
Ino coordinated with Tsunade's attack, a punch here, a kick there, attacking fiercely like a flitting butterfly. Shizune remained alert, carefully observing the masked man for any openings.
Tsunade's taijutsu was superior to Obito's. In less than twenty moves, Obito was hit three times, but he dodged all three punches by phasing.
Ino would occasionally dash in to land a Rasengan or spray a mouthful of poison.
It had to be said, phasing was truly a god-tier skill!
Tsunade and her disciple fought together for two minutes but didn't even touch his clothes. It was like a mouse trying to pull a turtle – no way to get a grip.
If they had mastered Flying Thunder God, they could have replicated the Fourth Hokage's fight against Obito. Unfortunately, none of the three had mastered Flying Thunder God.
If they forcibly used it now, their reaction speed simply couldn't seize the tiny gap between Obito's tangible and phased states.
Plus, Obito also had Izanagi and Hashirama cells; this guy was a complete bug.
Obito didn't really have any devastatingly powerful ninjutsu. Itachi Uchiha had Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. He probably only knew Great Fireball Technique, and at most, Phoenix Sage Fire. Considering Obito's level at the time, Wood Release: Cutting Technique was likely White Zetsu's ninjutsu.
Obito had to resort to jabbing Konan with an iron pipe. The battle of 600 billion explosive tags, which should have been a high-prestige fight, ended up looking as low-class as a street brawl because of him.
He couldn't use ninjutsu, but he relied solely on phasing, a single trick that worked wonders.
This move didn't even require hand seals; a mere thought could complete it.
Phasing could completely put him in an invincible position.
Tsunade and her disciple coordinated skillfully, but no matter how good their coordination, it ultimately couldn't match the speed of Obito's thoughts. Within half a second, or a third of a second, he could phase himself.
How could they even fight this?
Minato Namikaze could seize a one-tenth-of-a-second gap, using a neural reaction speed faster than thought to critically injure him with Flying Thunder God plus Rasengan. Tsunade and the other two didn't have this ability; their fighting styles weren't suited for it.
"Oh dear, it seems the main event has arrived. Well then, I shall take my leave. Ladies, I wish you a pleasant weekend." Obito glanced into the distance twice, then ignored Tsunade's Monstrous Strength Fist, his body sinking and completely disappearing.
Damn it! Even Ino felt speechless. This person's Mangekyo ability was truly too overpowered. Forget about gouging out his eyes; she couldn't even find an opportunity to shatter Obito's mask and let Shizune recognize her old classmate.
The three of them had been struggling with him for so long and hadn't gained a single thing.
It wasn't hard to guess Obito's intention of instigating a fight between the two sides. His methods were crude, but it had to be admitted that often, the simpler things were, the more effective they were.
Just as Obito disappeared, before Tsunade and the others could discuss, they heard "clop clop" sounds like horse hooves approaching from afar, ringing in their ears.
Akatsuchi, who had been knocked out earlier, had the best physique. This three-hundred-pound fatty climbed out of the water vat, seeming to want to block, but was kicked by the Five-Tails and sent to eat dirt on the side.
The jinchuriki named Han had completely transformed into a tailed beast. He had turned into a pure white, horned, horse-like giant beast, galloping through the streets.
The giant beast dragged five tails behind it, exuding a fierce killing intent.
The Five-Tails' eyes were crimson red, a sign of being controlled by the Sharingan. It ran faster and faster, leaving even the flying Third Tsuchikage far behind, let alone Kitsuchi, whose mobility had never been particularly agile.
The Iwagakure ninjas along the way desperately tried to stop it, but the Five-Tails' impact force was too strong. It broke through several defensive lines consecutively, crashing straight towards the small building where Tsunade and the others were.
This was no time to sit and wait for death. Tsunade shouted and was the first to rush out of the small building, meeting the Five-Tails head-on with a punch.
This punch was as fierce as Mars colliding with Earth.
A huge shockwave swept out in all directions. The not-so-sturdy small building collapsed instantly, and some buildings along the way were also knocked askew as if hit by a typhoon.
The Five-Tails let out a mournful cry, was staggered by the blow, its forelimbs giving way, nearly kneeling.
The Five-Tails kept shaking its head, trying to shake off the dizziness. Tsunade was also sent flying back, caught in mid-air by Shizune.
Ino first created two shadow clones to form the Poison Giant Soldier, simultaneously activating the Yang Seal and taking out the chakra she had stored for almost a month. She used the Poison Giant Soldier's arm to condense an Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan, then without looking, slammed it onto the Five-Tails' face.
Strike while the iron is hot!
The Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan, not small even in front of the Five-Tails' massive body, smashed squarely onto its forehead. The Five-Tails, dazed by Tsunade's punch, hadn't even reacted to what was happening when the Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan arrived.
With a "crack," a crisp sound, the Five-Tails had five horns on its forehead – three short and two long. At this moment, the horn on the right front, slightly above the brow bone, was snapped off by Ino on the spot, spinning away into the distance.
Ino exchanged glances with her shadow clone, their minds connecting. She used the Shadow Clone Technique again. Some used Water Release, some Wind Release, and some Earth Release. A large group of shadow clones besieged the Five-Tails. No one noticed one of the shadow clones quietly using Earth Release, taking advantage of the chaos to snatch the nearly two-meter-long broken horn.
The incident was truly sudden, and the outcome wasn't entirely satisfactory, but regardless, the Five-Tails' chakra was obtained.
The chaos finally subsided. The Third Tsuchikage, arriving late, applied the Added-Weight Rock Technique to the Five-Tails, pinning the massive beast down. Kitsuchi used the Mountain Earth Technique, sandwiching the Five-Tails like a cookie, only releasing the ninjutsu after the jinchuriki fainted and reverted to human form.
The Five-Tails' rampage from north to south in the village caused countless destruction and over a hundred casualties. Originally, the Third Tsuchikage and Kitsuchi had suppressed the semi-tailed-beast-transformed Han. For some unknown reason, Han suddenly entered his full tailed beast form, then charged recklessly, not only breaking through the encirclement but also causing massive damage to the village.
"Konoha ninja! Speak, was this your doing!?" Seeing his unconscious granddaughter, the Third Tsuchikage was about to go mad with anger.
Akatsuchi, who had woken up earlier, helped explain a bit, but he hadn't clearly seen who had sneak-attacked him from behind.
Many Iwagakure ninjas looked at Tsunade and the other two with increasingly unfriendly eyes. These Konoha ninjas were rotten to the core! Kurotsuchi was such a good girl, bringing you wine and food, yet such a good person suffered at your hands. Are you even human?
