Chapter 128: Everyone's at Demon Level

"Bad news, Chairman Chang Wei! We just got a call from the public—City A has been destroyed! A massive spaceship has appeared!"

The Hero League's hotline was blowing up early in the morning.

Chang Wei felt like time had flown by. So, it was finally happening—the Dark Matter Thieves!

Or rather, that man—Boros!

"City A has been destroyed?"

Chang Wei knew this would be a massive blow to the Hero Association's reputation. Many S-Class heroes had already chosen to leave. So, even though that so-called prophet, Shibabawa or whatever, choked to death on a throat lozenge, they were powerless to summon the S-Class heroes just because of a prediction on a scrap of paper.

In other words, the Hero Association now treated S-Class heroes like VIPs instead of disposable workers, as in the original storyline.

Because of this, they were completely unprepared. If not for Metal Knight constructing their headquarters, the Hero Association itself would have been reduced to ashes in the first round of bombardment from the Dark Matter Thieves.

"What's the situation now?"

Chang Wei was eager to see how the story had changed.

"A large number of aliens… or should I say monsters?… have come down from the spaceship."

The staff member wasn't sure how to describe them.

"The heroes from the Hero League are fighting back, but there are too many of them! The aliens are already approaching other cities!"

City A didn't have many heroes stationed there to begin with. Although Tatsumaki was in City A, she happened to be away on a mission.

After just one round of bombardment, the heroes in City A suffered heavy casualties.

"Issue an emergency alert immediately. Since they've already wiped out an entire city, it means these aliens have the potential to destroy human civilization. For now, classify this as a high-level Dragon threat."

Chang Wei gave the order decisively.

"Yes, sir!"

His subordinates quickly sent out emergency alerts to every city.

"Emergency alert! Emergency alert! Attention, all residents of major cities! A hostile alien force has appeared in City A! City A has been completely destroyed! The threat level has been classified as high-level Dragon! The Hero League is deploying heroes to eliminate the monsters. Until the threat is neutralized, all residents must stay away from City A and maintain a safe distance. This is not a drill—please evacuate immediately!"

"Repeating: Emergency alert!

A certain bald-headed demon king was watching the news.

"An alien invasion, huh? There must be some strong opponents this time."

Saitama stood up, looking excited.

Meanwhile, Chang Wei dispatched numerous drones to capture footage of the battlefield. These so-called drones were actually Invisible Killers disguised as unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Hero League was doing this to let the public see just how powerful these monsters were and to provide real-time updates.

"Genus, are you ready? We have a ton of Tiger-level and Demon-level monsters to collect this time."

Chang Wei was full of anticipation.

The Dark Matter Thieves consisted mostly of warriors recruited from various conquered planets. They had some technicians, but their numbers were small.

Even their lowest combatants were at high-tier Tiger level. Their three main fighters were firmly in the Dragon-level category. It was just that, on Earth, Dragon-level threats were so common that they didn't seem as impressive.

However, considering that two of the three top fighters were eventually killed by Saitama, they were still formidable. Especially that octopus alien, who could create black holes with psychokinesis—he might even be on par with Tatsumaki, the Dragon-tier gatekeeper, or perhaps even stronger.

Geryuganshoop could use his psychokinesis to remove air resistance and accelerate pebbles to near-light speeds. Just one pebble could potentially take down a powerful Dragon-level threat—his offensive power was beyond estimation!

And in the TV version, the octopus alien could also control gravity, making him an absolute powerhouse!

Chang Wei was eager to absorb him. Once the analysis of the Divine Light Virus was complete, would his own psychokinesis become even stronger?

"I'm ready, Boss."

Genus's clones were all wearing bulky, odd-looking suits—biological exo-armor that he had developed himself. These suits provided defenses and strength equivalent to a Tiger-level monster, making them perfect for handling the cleanup.

Genus's main body, of course, would stay in the base to avoid being caught in the crossfire.

"Then let's move out."

At that moment, the Hero League received a message from the Hero Association. They wanted to collaborate against the alien invasion.

"You're still trying to ride my coattails at a time like this?"

Naturally, Chang Wei refused outright.

Unable to contain his excitement any longer, he teleported to the battlefield.

Below him, aliens and humans were locked in combat. The humans were vastly outnumbered.

"Their life energy levels… they're all at Demon Level…"

Chang Wei's Divine Light Virus-enhanced vision—or rather, his life-energy sensing ability—allowed him to gauge the strength of these creatures.

Demon-level warriors—what a ridiculous situation. So many Demon-level threats…

In the original story, these warriors hadn't even had a chance to land before Saitama stormed the ship and wiped out a bunch of them. The rest were taken out by the ship's bombardment or when it crashed.

Otherwise, this would have been an unprecedented disaster for humanity.

Even the weakest Demon-level monsters weren't something lower-tier A-Class heroes could handle.

Ignoring the lesser creatures, Chang Wei rushed toward a particular target—

One of the highest-ranking warriors among the Dark Matter Thieves—

Melzargard!

An alien with five heads, each possessing its own consciousness and personality, capable of splitting into independent entities. He could reshape his body in various ways—growing wings, turning his arms into deadly blunt weapons or blades, merging and splitting at will, and extending tentacles to attack.

He also had unlimited regeneration. His only weakness was the five marble-sized cores hidden inside his body, one corresponding to each head. Destroying a core would kill that respective head.

With his flesh-manipulating abilities, he could split into five separate bodies (each with one head and core) or merge them all while keeping the five heads and personalities intact.

In the original story, he single-handedly held off four S-Class heroes, including Silver Fang and Atomic Samurai.

"This planet really is something else."

Melzargard laughed heartily. So many beings here were on par with their pirate warriors.
